I often get asked where I am from.
This is it—concrete neighbourhoods that resemble the UK’s most brutalist council house estates. The place I come from mostly consists of buildings like this. I lived surrounded by this simple, unconditionally grey aesthetic for 18 years of my life.
I believe a big part of my creative vision has stemmed from this environment: my appreciation for simple forms and plain stories. And I guess my ability to see beauty wherever I step actually started out of necessity. I used to dislike the place a lot. Eventually, I learned to love it for what it is and accept my story.
It’s turned out brighter than I could ever imagine. ☀️

PS: I don’t really listen to Lithuanian music, but this song has been stuck in my heart for a while. “There is never gonna be too much love for me”. Can there be too much?
