Happy 2nd Anniversary to the studio and community that brought me home. 🦋✨

I originally found @miflowstudio because I was searching for friends and I was attending a bunch of meet up group events, but I ended up finding a new family. These beautiful souls show up for me every time. Celebrating my golden birthday, pushing me to become an instructor, hearing me yap about my problems after class, and all the love and hugs I received after my engagement announcement. My anxiety makes it hard for me to show up sometimes but I know I’m always walking into a room full of big hugs and people who are so happy that I exist.

I’ve been back and forth on whether or not to tie this to SA Awareness Month. I haven't publicly talked about it in over 7 years because the last time it wasn't taken so well. 😢 After sexual trauma it is so hard to feel like your body actually belongs to you. Someone took my power away. It's been so hard to get it back and reconnect with her. I’ve gone from being afraid to look at myself to (mostly) being able to look into my own eyes while dancing. I’m relearning to love my body, the way it moves, and what it can do for me. My body is healing because of this studio and all the amazing people in it. I'm able to bring back all the love my body deserves. 💕 by @alinasaurus_
