I thought this day would be easier.
I wanted to ignore it… but I couldn’t.

I chose to speak my truth, to allow myself to feel all the love that still exists.

Today, I honor myself as a mother…
and I honor the connection I carry within me.

And today, I want to say it out loud…
I am your mother. And you will always be my baby, Janine.

Loss does not take away motherhood.

To every woman who has lost her baby in silence, in pain… your motherhood is real, your love is real, and your grief is seen. 🤍

And to all the strong Lebanese mothers who lost their children…
my heart is with you.
