Sometimes life gives you something worth sharing ❤️

The last few years have been about simplifying my home, habits, relationships, and myself. I’ve become intentional about what I allow into my life, creating a cleaner, quieter, healthier, and more grounded lifestyle.

I stopped coloring my hair, wearing nails and makeup. I stopped feeling like I needed to add more and started appreciating what was already there.

Most importantly, today marks 1,588 days of living and loving a sober lifestyle! 🎉

Along the way, I’ve learned to protect my peace, follow my heart, and make room only for what brings joy, honesty, and respect.

With big changes ahead, an enormous Giant Swallowtail butterfly greeted me as I opened my front door yesterday, circled my head and landed in the tree before me. 🖤💛

I immediately thought of my grandmother, who passed away a little over a year ago. It felt like she was saying, I’m here. Keep going. Good things are coming. It was so incredibly magical ✨

I’m grateful for the life I’ve created, the peace I’ve protected, and the courage to embrace change.

I’m ready for what’s next!! And here we go…

Incredibly grateful to have been invited as a Jury Member at @sunscreenffstpete this year. 🎞️🖤

Presenting awards for Best Documentary Short and Best Social Cause Film was an experience I won’t soon forget, and getting to recognize @heartoftexasmovie for Best Social Cause Film made it that much more special. Powerful work from a deserving team.

Today my sweet baby angel Monkey was gently guided over the rainbow bridge after years of chronic kidney, bladder, pancreatitis and sinus issues 😿 I never wanted her to suffer, and I promised her she would go with love, honor, and dignity. And she did.

She would have been 20 years old on June 6, 2026. She was my light, my truth, my confidant, and most of all, my best friend. She was truly one of the purest souls I’ve ever known… soft, wise, gentle, smart, with a hint of sass. She always made me laugh, she was so damn funny in her quiet judgmental way, and always so full of love. Monkey had this gift of making a home feel warmer just by being in it. Her constant purring, her little head nudges, and sharing her energy with a curled-up nap always nearby… she was pure comfort.

I’m heartbroken, yes, but more than anything, I’m grateful. Grateful for nearly two decades of companionship, for the lessons in gentleness, for the laughter, the routines, the little moments that somehow become everything.

If you ever met her, you know: she loved all, and was deeply loved in return. She lived a beautifully humble life, and I protected her like an insane mom… she was safe, cherished, and adored until her very last breath.

Run free, my sweet Monkey. Along with your kitty wings, you will regain your hearing, ditch the arthritis in your legs, eat all the fresh caught ocean tuna, play laser games in the clouds, and curl up on the laps of the loved ones we have lost, always continuing to spread your love in heaven as you did on earth. 😻
