We aren't going ANYWHERE...except EVERYWHERE! We feel like we should provide a little insight into how all of this came to be 👀

Ali & Sage have been writing songs together for over a decade now. They first crossed paths back at the age of 17 at college & almost instantly connected through a paralleled love for the music. A healthy and creative sense of competition gave both of these individuals their drive to elaborate on their lyrics from very early doors, so it's no surprise as to how there is such depth in their lyricism whenever they get to scripting and showcase their abilities from the pen and pad. 🧠💭✍️🎶🗣🎤

Sage & Kase connected late 2021 through the pandemic. Kase recognised Sage's talent through his Instagram page and suggested a link up. Without hesitation they got to it, meeting up throughout winter in the evenings, in the woodlands of South London, lighting fires in the dark and freestyling to a lot of UKHH and some of Kase's own beats. The connection formed quickly as did the clear potential to work together. 😈

Ali was very much half a world away living an extremely different life at the time. It was not long after the producers return to his homeland midway through 2022 that Sage passed on word of Kase to Ali. Needless to say that not long after, the 3 connected as a trio for the first time and immediately got to talking, discussing the possibility of taking on a collective approach to tackle the game as who they now perform together under the name "Dark Hippies". 👥️️

After smashing yet another performance in Stoke Newington this week, it is clear that this collective has really found its bearings now. The next performance in sight is at the O2 Islington at the end of September. With plenty of time to prepare, this is without a doubt, the collectives most highly anticipated performance so far. 🚀🌙

Her participation in WEDNESDAY with the original hook idea is what set the tone for BARCLAY. to follow on from when it came down to getting ideas down for the verse which came around in little to no time at all. 🎯

Some people might not fw you now but KNOW that in time you'll get real flowers from those who looked at all this music stuff as a little pipe dream. You all got time to hone in on your craft & STEP..
