Heard someone say, “I don’t celebrate my wins because in my head, I was supposed to do it.” And honestly, that hit. So many of us move through life like that.

We downplay our milestones because they feel like basic expectations. No celebration. No pause. Just onto the next thing. But the truth is, even the things you expected from yourself are still achievements. You showed up. You followed 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

When planning extensions, I look beyond the desired length. The natural hair’s density, the colour through the ends and the existing haircut all help guide the result.

👩‍🎓 An educator’s tip: look at the blend before you wave it. Styling can soften a transition, so check how the natural hair and extensions meet when straight, too.

💭 remember: 200g is the amount used for this look, not a formula for every client. Your consultation should guide the choice.

The best extension work starts before you pick up a needle @cartelhairco 👋🏻 👏🏼

When I’m planning a weft installation, I’m looking at more than the length my client wants.

Does the colour blend through the mid-lengths and ends?
How much hair is suitable for their natural density?
How will their existing haircut affect the finish?
Can they commit to the maintenance?

These decisions shape the result.

As the founder and an educator for Cartel Hair Co, I want to share more of the thinking behind my work. The consultations, colour choices and little details I teach hairdressers to look for.

💗 WEEK ONE OF GOING PINK 💗

A little photo dump of our first week in the salon, spreading pink, love and awareness for a cause so close to our hearts. 🎀

This October, we’re coming together as a team to raise money for Teagan’s mum as she fights breast cancer, with the goal of gifting her a 100% human hair wig to help her feel like herself again. 🤍

It’s easy to focus on what’s missing and forget how much good is already here.

You can be grateful and still want more. You can have a hard day and still love your life. You can be proud of how far you’ve come while figuring out what comes next.

Give your energy to the people, moments and things that make you feel more like yourself. Celebrate the small wins. Speak kindly to yourself. Make time for joy along the way.

For me, keeping my vibration high means coming back to gratitude, surrounding myself with people who lift me and sharing that same love with others.

Happy birthday, beautiful Lola 💗🎂

You might remember our special salon assistant Lola from a video we shared a little while ago. Today we’re sharing another beautiful memory and seeing her so focused, carefully working on her mannequin, has completely melted my heart. 🥹 (self taught watching YouTube videos 🎥

Sometimes you don’t realise the impact you have on someone until you see moments like this. The time you give, the kindness you show and the way you make someone feel welcome can mean so much more than you know.

Lola, I’m completely blown away by you and so proud. You’ve found your happy place, and you bring so much happiness to ours.

This October, Allure is turning pink for someone very close to our hearts Teagan’s beautiful mum, who is currently fighting breast cancer.

Along her journey, she has lost her hair, and we would love to give her something that makes her feel like herself again a 100% human hair wig. 🎀
