Today my baby turns 13 🎂For the last 12 years I’ve watched you move through this world with curiosity, determination, courage and a spirit that refuses to be anything but itself.As you step into your teenage years, my wish for you isn’t that life is easy. It’s that you know your worth, protect your peace, and never shrink yourself to make others comfortable.There will be times when people misunderstand you, exclude you, judge you, or project their own hurt onto you. When that happens, remember that healthy boundaries are not unkind. Walking away is not weakness. Knowing your value is not arrogance.Stay kind, but never at the expense of yourself.This past year has taught you some hard lessons about friendship, loyalty, forgiveness and self-respect. I’m proud of how you’ve navigated them.
