Before Students Use AI, We Need to Teach Them How to Think

The conversation around AI in schools is often framed as access:
Should students use AI or not?

I think the better question is:
What should students be able to do before AI begins doing the thinking with them?
They need to read, reason, persist through uncertainty, make decisions, recognize patterns, and understand how one choice affects what happens next.

They need systems literacy.

That idea sits at the heart of Circuit Sibz, a systems-based game I created where players build interconnected pathways under strict constraints. Every move changes the system, limits future possibilities, and forces players to think ahead.

The goal is not to teach students how to use AI sooner. It is to develop the human capacities they will need when they eventually do.

Learn to think.
Learn to connect.
Learn to understand systems.
Then learn to think with AI.

AI should amplify developed thinking—not replace thinking that never had the opportunity to develop.

EVERY GREAT WORLD HAS A BEGINNING.
THIS IS OURS.

Introducing the Motor Mutants Founder’s Edition // Year Zero.

This is the first physical release from the Motor Mutants universe—created for the people who want to be there at the beginning.

Inside are the first three Founder Factions:

🔥 BLAZE
💨 AERO
⛰️ TERRA

Three complete Founder Decks.
36 Founder Mutants.
120 deck cards.
Limited Track Cards.
Founder Field Guide.
Limited-Edition Signed Serigraph.

And only 1,000 Founder’s Edition Boxes will ever be produced.

But what makes Year Zero special isn’t simply that it’s limited.
It’s what it represents. Motor Mutants is being built as a much larger connected world of collecting, competitive racing, stories, books, games, animation, engineering, and discovery—with The Motor Genesis™ trading card game as the first way to play.

Years from now, I want people to be able to look back and say:
“I was there at Year Zero.”

If Motor Mutants looks like a world you’d want to be part of, come see where it begins.

Throughout the 2025 karting season at OVRP and my first full season of karting, I experienced my fair share of highs and lows but every setback fueled a stronger comeback. The year kicked off with my first win of the season, setting the tone for what was to come. Just two rounds later, I faced a tough DNF after being taken out by lapped traffic while running P2, but I bounced back with a podium finish. A few races later, my engine gave out while I was leading, yet I refused to let it break my momentum. From there, I strung together four straight podiums, including my first-ever back-to-back wins. Even after two challenging races one where I fought from the very back of the grid to P5. I kept pushing, capping the season with a thrilling last-to-first victory and a second-place finish in the finale. It was a season of resilience, growth, and proof that perseverance always finds its way to the podium. Finally a big thanks to my dad for his help and motivation after a long year and @pdh16racing for helping me not only get better as a driver but also helping us with everything kart related throughout. taken in OVRP - Oakland Valley Race Park - Hannen Motorsports by @alishama
