Comment “plan” and I’ll send you ways to get better and shoot lower scores.

There’s lots of different club options when it comes to chipping. If you stick to the same club all the time it’s the equivalent of trying to build a house with only a hammer. Theres lots of tools in the toolbox, so why not get comfortable with all. That way, when a shot calls for something different, you can select a tool that fits a job. That may include and 8 iron, a hybrid, or even putting from off the green.

What club would you chip with from here? Comment 👇

Most golfers struggle with distance control in pitching… 😳

Comment “wedge” and I’ll send you more ways to shoot lower scores

You’re likely guessing the length of your swing, leading to inconsistent results.

When your swing length varies, it’s tough to predict how far the ball will travel because your clubhead speed changes.

Here’s the fix:
✅ Visualize a clock face around your body
✅ Match your backswing and follow-through to specific “times” on the clock
✅ Practice each position to develop consistent feel and distance

You’ll feel instantly more in control of your pitch shots. 🎯

Most golfers think they’re rotating enough...
but they’re actually stalling out right before impact. 😳

You don’t get power by swinging harder.
You get it by rotating efficiently through the ball.

Stalling happens when your lead side stops pulling back, causing your trail shoulder to take over. ❌ This disrupts the kinematic sequence, leading to loss of speed and control.

Here’s how to fix it:
✅ Feel your lead side pulling back like you’re drawing a bowstring
✅ Allow your trail shoulder to follow naturally, not forcefully

The result 👇
⚡️ Smooth, continuous rotation through impact
🎯 Consistent ball striking with improved control
💥 Increased clubhead speed without extra effort

When you feel that seamless rotation for the first time...
you’ll never go back. 💪

Comment “strike” for more tips 👇

Rolled release ❌ vs in-to-out release with roll ❌ vs on-plane, square-face release ✅

Rolling the club over early closes the face and sends the ball left. An in-to-out release with a roll swings the club too far from the inside and then flips the face shut to compensate.

The release you want keeps the club on plane and the face square through impact. That gives you better face control, a more consistent start line and a solid strike.

Save this for your next session and film your own swing to see which release you’re making.

Arms first ❌ vs Body first ✅

If your arms fire before your body, the club gets steep and over the top. You end up with weak, inconsistent contact.

Start the downswing by rotating your lower body, and let the arms and club follow. That’s the order that gets the club back to the ball from the inside, so you strike it solid and compress it.

Save this for your next range session and try it in slow motion first.

I cross my feet before I even start my backswing. Here’s why.

Most amateurs lose power because their upper body and lower body move together in the backswing — same rate, same time, zero separation. No separation means no torque, and no torque means no power. You’re basically swinging with the brakes on.

Crossing your feet takes your lower body almost completely out of play for the backswing. It forces your upper body to initiate the takeaway on its own, so you actually feel what real separation feels like — your shoulders turning against a quieter lower half.

That separation is where your power comes from. Not from swinging harder. From coiling better.

Try a few rehearsal swings like this before you hit balls and feel the difference 🌀

Comment “strike” to hit the ball better 🏌️‍♀️

Want to stop flipping at impact and start compressing the ball? Try this.

Take a tee and place it in your grip, sticking out behind your lead hand. Rehearse your swing and try to keep the tee hidden behind your lead hand the whole way through.

If the tee pops out or shows itself at impact, that’s your wrist breaking down (the flip). Keep it hidden = flat lead wrist = solid, compressed contact.

Simple feel, instant feedback 🎯

Want to know if you’re coming over the top? This drill tells you instantly.

Put a baseball swing weight ring on your shaft and make some downswings.

❌ Over the top → the weight falls forward and smacks your hands. That’s your upper body taking over and pulling you out of posture.

✅ Shallow → keep the feeling of the weight staying BEHIND you as long as possible. When you can hold that feeling, your body stays in posture and the club naturally shallows on the way down.

Instant feedback, no guesswork. Try it on your next range session 👇 and save this tip.

Want more distance off the tee? Start with where the ball is, not how hard you swing.

Play your driver off the inside of your lead heel. This position lets you catch the ball on the upswing, which improves your angle of attack and helps you launch it in that optimal 15–18° window for max carry and distance.

Too far back → low, spinny, weak shots.
Too far forward → inconsistent contact.
Inside the lead heel → the sweet spot.

Simple change, real distance gain 🚀

Your ball position might be quietly wrecking your contact — here’s the simple breakdown:

⚫ Short & mid irons → center of stance
⚫ 5 iron & hybrid → slightly forward of center
⚫ Driver → off the inside of your lead heel

Use an alignment rod on the ground to check yours — most people think they’re playing it correctly and they’re off by inches, which changes your angle of attack and strike quality on every club.

Set it, check it, own it ✅

Think your miss off the tee is a swing problem? It’s probably an aim problem.

Most amateurs set up aimed well right of target without ever realizing it — then their body naturally compensates mid-swing, which is where the slice, the push, the inconsistency all come from.

The fix: pick a spot 2 feet in front of the ball, directly on your target line, and aim the clubface at THAT — not at the target itself. It’s way easier to aim at something close than something 250 yards away.

Better aim = better swings = better tee shots. Swipe through 👉
