New tits, who dis?*1 month ago, I had my second reconstruction surgery to replace my fake fake boobs with my real fake boobs (the expanders were replaced with implants). My girls are now perky as hell and I've been saying I look like a very blessed 16yr old, but even better - that was the last big step in this absurd cancer journey I've been on.It was one year ago today that I felt something weird in my right breast while doing a self exam. I'm thankful every day that I listened to my gut and got it checked out. It hasn't been an easy ride, but things could have been much harder had I waited.I've still got immunotherapy and hormone therapy to do, but all of that falls into the category of "wildly annoying". The major stuff is done, I'm officially cancer-free, and my boobs look amazing.So if you haven't already, give your tatas some love today to make sure they don't feel "weird". One more BTS from The Pitt. As an extra cherry on top of an already incredible sundae, I got to work with these two stunners. @talhabarberousse crushed as Makedah, and as soon as you notice @camrag, you can't miss her as a day shift nurse in every ep.I know both of them through the incredible community that @leslykahn builds. And if I can brag just a bit - I was one of the people who encouraged Camra to do this gig, and I coached Talha on her audition for the show...all before I got my own audition! So spending a day on set with both of them was such a treat.And yes, we took this pic before I went through makeup. THE PITT APPRECIATION POST1st- To @tdeardz. She was not only an incredible scene partner, but she welcomed me on that set like I was already family. Chatting with her between takes was an added delight to an already delightful experience.And how I needed a delightful experience. The 2nd part of this appreciation post is for @therealnoahwyle & the production as a whole. I'm lucky to call @sarawyle & Noah friends, they knew of my cancer diagnosis early on, & have been incredibly supportive. When I got the audition for Morgan Stiles for eps 209 & 210, I almost passed on it. My surgery would have conflicted with the shoot dates of 210. But my manager thankfully convinced me to still audition. Casting already knew my situation via the Wyles & apparently had close experience w/BC as well. When everyone liked my tape, they got production to agree to have me wrapped by my surgery date. (Anyone who knows how this show operates knows that's a pretty big ask.) So not only did I get to work on this incredible show, I was shooting the 2 weeks leading up to this massive life-saving surgery that terrified me. When I say I needed a delightful experience, I mean I NEEDED a delightful experience.Cut to post surgery - I survived! I'm healing great! And...oh snap! I need chemo. I find an oncologist, set my chemo schedule, & THEN - The Pitt wants to see if I'm available for ep 215. The shoot dates would luckily land when I'm told I'll be "functional" but since I hadn't started, I didn't really know how chemo would affect me. Plus I hadn't decided to cold cap yet so I didn't know if I'd have hair. We let casting know all of this & they didn't blink an eye. I was booked! And what a huge win to actually work DURING chemo.Noah, Sara, Taylor, @johnwellsproductions & the entire Pitt community are etched in my heart forever. And strangely - my crazy health journey is now documented forever on season 2 of The Pitt. The elevator scene in 210 is my last on-camera appearance before my surgery. My scene with Noah in 215? Filmed after 2 cycles of chemo.This isn't something anyone on this show HAD to do. They did it because they WANTED to. And what could be more meaningful than that?♥ by @alisonhaislip

Hello from the other side of chemo!Damn...that was a ride.Updates: I lost most of my eyebrows! But makeup does wonders and they're already growing back strong.Even better, I kept most of my hair! Massive thanks to @dignicap for that. I've got a few more months of insane maintenance ahead of me, but the amount of hair that's still on my head is astonishing.I didn't keep it all however, which is normal. You'll always lose SOME hair with chemo, even with cold capping. My first shedding hair wash happened about 5 weeks after my first chemo treatment (most people start losing hair at 3 weeks). That first time was TRAUMATIC. I took that shower pic and showed it to my dear friend, @milissasears. As the fates would have it, Milissa had just started her postpartum hair loss journey. She told me how she makes hair art out of it in every shower. And that kicked off a wonderful text exchange for the last few months, where we traded photos of our hair art and what we named it.Here is my Hair Art, starting with the 3rd pic:- The Scream- Lightning Storm Over Dry Field- A Profile of Elvis- Look Up- The Ice Dancer- The Garden (Milissa pointed out it looks like the Garden of Lost Souls from The Little Mermaid)- The Long and Winding Road - Chaos & Mayhem (but Milissa renamed it Alien vs Woodstock and I can't unsee that)- The Prom- The Chase- Bowling- Chariot RacingChemo SUCKS. But I couldn't be more thankful for a friend like Milissa, who helped me find joy and laughter in an otherwise traumatic experience. The fact that a small part of me started to look forward to my hair washing days is incredible.Milissa, I love you. 🥰#chemosucks #friendsarethebest #hairart by @alisonhaislip
