Even more eerie, deviant stories for a quiet night.

📚 What's your favorite horror trope/rule? Mine is probably "Don't split up" - somehow, they always do, and it never ends well.

I sat down with this today and accidentally lost three hours. 🤭📖
The publisher sent over an early finished copy of Devour Me by Emily Rath, and honestly, the sprayed edges alone are stunning - yet the story inside is what really kept me glued to the bed.
Think of it like the magical love child of Zodiac Academy and Apple TV's Widow’s Bay. It’s a wicked fun, genuinely breezy read, & the prose is surprisingly well-constructed. It’s precisely the kind of book you go to pick up when you just need to escape for a while and watch the pages fly by.
Devour Me leans heavily into some great dynamics:
• Why Choose / Polyamory (MMF)
•Grumpy Witch x Grumpy Demon
× Sunshine Human
• Shadow Daddies & Dark Magic
• “Lurking is my love language”
• “No one gets to kill you but me”
• A delightfully dysfunctional throuple

Highly recommend keeping this one on your radar! Coming out this August.

Thank you for sending an early copy @harpercollins & thank you to @emilyrathauthor for the pretty words and fun, wild ride. ✨

PSA: if your chronically ill friends suddenly stop posting, make sure they're not dead, because every day feels like looking over your shoulder to make sure Death isn't following.
