New Musical Lab’s week 1 with @shitzprobe !!! To think I grew so much in just one short week is hard to believe, but undeniably true. I just wanna go back and do it all over again and again because of how much fun I had!

So incredibly grateful for Ali Reed, Kiki Mikkelsen, and Adrien Pellerin’s guidance and support for us ❤️❤️❤️I cannot express my appreciation enough for @adrienpellerin @alisreed and @kikimikkelsen for giving us a truly unforgettable and incredible week.
Moreover, so much gratitude to @dougcarpentervoice and Bruce Bronstein for making it all happen and for their support of the company throughout all 4 weeks!

Thank you to Adrien Pellerin and @cadencer.music for their amazing piano and drumming skills.
As well as Vantony Jenkins and the Ferguson Center for the Art’s tech team.

You guys, the 5th Anniversary was such a wild smash! It felt so incredible to be back with the @shitzprobe family again. And @lesliekritzer was the perfect guest. I’ve been in awe of her since I moved to nyc and saw ‘The Great American Trailor Park Musical’. A true star and so much fun. Thank you for playing with us and I hope to see all of you at the next one!! by @alisreed

I’m SO excited to be rejoining the @Shitzprobe cast for their 5th anniversary show with special guest @lesliekritzer

In honor of my love for this group I’m gonna be posting some of my favorite SHITZPROBE moments! This is from the show that Christopher Sieber was our special guest star.

Hope you can see our upcoming show! And remember the best musicals are fully improvised. Always 😜

Five years ago, I had to say goodbye to my biggest champion, my Dad- John Squires Reed II. Growing up as his daughter filled me with a sense of pride and everlasting reassurance, knowing that I was lucky enough to be his. I only knew and understood unconditional love in the home he built with my Mom. Don’t get me wrong- the man was stubborn, and he would challenge me to always be my best, and showed up for me over and over, no matter what. He rarely missed a swim meet, game, performance, or family dinner. He photographed every event, and even became the photographer for all of my sports teams. I loved having my picture taken, because I was always smiling for him.

The day Dad died, Mom asked for a sign to let us know he was ok. Books fell from his shelf in the library, and a painting of Churchill Downs, that had hung on the wall for over 20 years - crashed to the ground. A little freaked, she asked for something calmer… “like a butterfly?!”. Not twenty minutes later, we walked out to the car and a swarm of white butterflies followed us.

I know he’s here, but he’s not right here. So I’ll keep smiling for pictures, keep trying my best, and keep feeling like the luckiest girl in the world to have had John Squires Reed II as my Dad. ❤️ by @alisreed
