Today is my brother Colin’s birthday.

The first one since he passed from ALS.

Before he died, he told me something I’ll never forget:
“You need to do something with everything you’ve been through.”

So this is me… fulfilling that promise.

Today, I’m launching The Phoenix Coach—
not just as a business, but as a space for women navigating grief, divorce, caretaking, ALS, and major life transitions.

This work was built from lived experience.
From the fire. From the rebuilding.

✨ You are not what burned. You are what rises.

In honor of Colin, I’m also offering a number of free coaching sessions every month for women impacted by ALS.

A frequent visitor of mine showed up today in a new way…. in another form.

The deep orange appears when she has reached the end of a season of herself. She was moving across the earth, leaving a tree that previously represented her genesis, sustenance, camouflage and safety ... to find an unknown land to rest. She doesn’t fully understand what is next... but she leaves what is known for a journey to the unknown. Her body demands it. Mimicking the shift of color… she must also shift landscapes.

With no map and no understanding of what it is next, she simply senses that it is time to retreat from the outside world, and enter the portal of the cocoon.

Darkness.
Confinement.
The unknown.

She is trust, embodied.

As she does, she exemplifies a surrender to everything she has ever known herself to be for voluntary bondage, driven from a deep calling within.

The not-knowing is part of a beautiful process. The way knows the way.

Could she even fathom the beauty that is in store?

She is my guide & metaphor today.
Thank you sweet, beautiful creature…. and magnificent teacher. I love your new form.
