I can't believe my year of maternity leave is officially done!! I'm going back to a new job and I'm honestly dreading it, but also excited for the adult connection I'll get through starting this job! 💙

It's a job I'm really excited and passionate about so I know it'll be great once I've got myself out there again! 💜

I keep saying to myself "I can't believe he's going to be one soon!" which is true, I can't believe it, but in my head I'm also saying...

"I can't believe I've been a mum for a year"
"I can't believe everything that's happened in the last year"
"I can't believe I used to do XYZ a year ago"

And it's okay to validate those thoughts...

All of their milestones are yours too! You've done an amazing job!

Our Evening Bath Routine ✨

Bath Time is a huge part of our wind down routine and we always use the same products to ensure familiarity and full relaxation.

We keep the lights dimmed but enough to see and play and then we get started on the main routine!

We use:

Start The Day With Us - Breakfast Edition 🥣🍊

We have a busy afternoon ahead of us today so making sure we are fueled up and ready to go is super important.

Charles has got half an orange cut into slices 🍊 and a @mylittlepiccolo strawberry and banana brekkie pouch🍓🍌 and I have got a little bowl of @cheeriosuki 🥣 with soya milk🥛

Charles had his usual water with his breakfast, he is getting so good at using his straw now 🍶 and I had my trusty can of @trip.drinks in Wild Strawberry flavour (#ad ) which is so tasty but also a great boost for a tired Mumma without turning to the sugary energy drinks 😅

Our Easy Baby Dinner Hack | @mylittlepiccolo (not an AD)

I get huge mum guilt when I give him a jar or pouch, but then I realise I am only human. He's eating three meals a day, plus snacks and sometimes it gets overwhelming, especially with the mess.

But the piccolo pasta and stir in sauce is so quick and easy, super nutritional and actually tastes good!

plus, with help from our trusty @bibado coverall, we are reducing the amount of orange sauce stains flying about the place 😅

Things I'm Doing as a Mum Experiencing Burnout 🩷

Every mum is different, living a different life with different babies and following a different story. This is mine. This is what I'm doing to help myself be the best I can be for myself and my family ✨

It is HARD. But that doesn't mean you don't love it (even if you don't enjoy this life all of the time) 🥹

This is a safe space for the mums who don't feel like natural mums, or some days feel like they would rather just go back to bed. Don't feel guilty for that feeling. Matresence is real and it does NOT make you a monster
