I don't think I've ever done an introductory post before, and the first day of Pride Month feels like the perfect time to make one~ 🏳️‍🌈🌳🩷☕🐈‍⬛🐝🌎 #selfie #queerartist #introduction #photographer #writer #pridemonth #queer #lgbt #food #cosplay #coffee #tolkien by @alittletookish

Coffee Thoughts: This week was not too bad. It was bittersweet though because it was Halloween. I looooove Halloween and look forward to it all year, so it's a highly anticipated day. But like any day you highly anticipate, you're thrilled that it's finally here but also sad that it's over.

I did get to spend the day with friends and we had a grand time playing a horror game together. We also had delicious foods and a few of us dressed up. It was a really good day. But next year? Next year I'm making the biggest deal out of October (all of it) that I possibly can. Because most of this October I just felt depressed and, frankly, numb.

Happy Halloween! I can't believe it's already Halloween.

October was a complete blur for me and I didn't get to do any of the stuff I'd normally do. My life is on fire (I'm homeless and severely underemployed) and I've been scrambling all month to get something figured out for permanent housing. (Link in bio if you wanna help with that!) So naturally absolutely everything else has been put on the back burner.

One thing that has developed during this month is that I've really reconnected with my spirituality. For several years I was completely disconnected from it, but this time of trial has me pulling cards and casting spells as if I was Sally Owens. I'm not upset about it at all.

I am happy I have reconnected in such a big way, but I'm sad October is over and I haven't done anything I'd normally do. Next October I'm going to have to go all out to make up for this one. But I am hoping to squeeze in at least one Halloween movie (specifically Hocus Pocus) before the night is over. At least keep that annual tradition alive.

All of these photos are about five years old but I don't care. They're some of my favorites of my panther. She definitely has magical powers because how else do you explain me getting out of bed early af just to dump wet food in her dish? No but seriously, she does keep me going and that's magical enough for me.

I hope y'all have the witchiest day today~

I will never get enough of Autumn trees. They are beautiful. And one thing about me. Even when life is absolute horse shit like it is right now, I will still take a moment to admire and appreciate beauty. Freyja wouldn't have it any other way.

Some things never change.

we all go through seasons and changes and phases, but in the end when all is said and done we always come back to ourselves and what we truly hold important.

for me one of those things is gardening and especially growing my own food as much as I can. somehow there are still tomatoes and peppers growing, plus a bunch of basil and rosemary. it's a little disturbing how warm it still is at the end of October (thanks, climate change) but I'll keep this garden going for as long as I possibly can.

I tell my therapist almost every week that I probably would not be here if it wasn't for this little kitty right here. I've said before too tgat I need to figure out how to register her as an ESA but that's frankly a task I just do not have bandwidth for rn

Coffee Thoughts: idek anymore. There's part of me that just wants to give up. For 6 months at the end of 2021 I was homeless and lived in a hotel. Here I am, 5 years later, homeless again. And it's looking more and more like I'm going to have to move into a hotel again but lololol I have no money to keep up with it. So I'm really looking at losing... everything. Literally everything. And I just... I don't know what to do anymore. I really just want to cry.

If you wanna help, check the top of my grid. I can't get out of this without some assistance and literally anything at all helps rn.

I was recently reminded of this quote and it was so incredibly timely. I've been feeling very bleak lately. not much hope of anything. I'm. homeless with basically no money and no where to go when my time in this temporary housing is up (November 1st). I need help and I feel like I can't get any from anywhere. parents are in another state. several irl friends are mad at me rn. the friends that are on my side are in another state and doing what they can which does help immensely. it just is very easy to feel like I'm fighting a losing battle and everything is hopeless.

but Gandalf is right. none of us, myself included, can see the end. I wish I could. maybe things would be less scary then. but until then I have to just keep pushing on as much as I possibly can. if Frodo can get the ring all the way to Mordor, and Bilbo cancan go on his adventure, then surely I can do this right?

send me all the good luck and good vibes possible. and if you feel like helping my cause check the top of my grid for a 🔗.

Coffee Thoughts: Well I am officially completely moved out of the old apartment. Still have no idea where I'm going. I have a place that would work out alright, but as of right now I do not have deposit money and without that I'm very out of luck. And I'm very quickly running out of time to get it. There's a 🔗 to a place where you can help rescue Luna and I from homelessness at the top of my grid. Quite literally anything at all helps right now.

Life is busy and chaotic these days. I'm always on the go and not necessarily in a good way. Between moving out of my old place, trying to find new stable. housing, and working it feels really hard to slow down for any amount of time despite my desperate desire to do so.

But I was waiting at the bus stop the other day and saw this guy. I love squirrels and watching them run around to dig up or bury an acorn, skitter up trees, or chase each other. I must have stood and watched this little fella for a full ten minutes - almost missing my bus.

"Nature never rushes yet everything is accomplished."

I'm really grateful for the small reminders to breathe, even in the midst of living in a busy city.
