I spent so long asking God why He thought I was strong enough to battle this. Now I’m thankful He trusted me with this story! 💗

I’m not going to pretend the past 1,095 days were easy. There were moments I felt different, frustrated, tired, scared, and wondered what my future would look like.

For a while, my life looked very different from the lives of most teenagers around me. I watched my friends do things I couldn’t always do, and even when I could, there were times my body simply wasn’t up for it.

One summer night, I was sitting on the couch talking to my mom when my heart suddenly started racing. I was rushed to the ER, where my heart rate reached 275 beats per minute and continued climbing. I was diagnosed with Supraventricular Tachycardia, a heart condition you're born with.

What we didn’t know then was that I had a rare, more complicated form called multifocal atrial tachycardia. We didn’t discover that until I was undergoing my cardiac ablation.

I was frustrated and confused. I remember wondering, “Why does this have to be my story?” But now, three years later, I can see that God was writing a story I couldn’t see yet.

SVT completely changed the direction of my life. It led me to agriculture when I knew nothing about it, introduced me to people and opportunities I never expected, and eventually led me to start my own nonprofit and use what I had been through to serve others.

God took something I never would have chosen and used it for something I never could have planned.

Thursday, I was officially released from my pediatric cardiologist! :) Yes, I struggled. But I can look back now and say that not one part of it was wasted.

“For when I am weak, then I am strong.” — 2 Corinthians 12:10

And the truth is that I was never strong enough to carry this by myself. It was God's strength that carried me through it.

I used to wonder why God allowed this to be part of my story. Now I understand that He gave me this testimony for a reason.

Three years later, my heart is healed, that chapter is closing, and I’m so excited to see where God takes the story next! 💗 by @aliyah.browning

Some scholarships are more than an award, they’re a reminder of the legacy you hope to carry forward. ♡

I am incredibly grateful and humbled to be the recipient of the Larry Brinkley Memorial Scholarship!

Larry Brinkley was so much more than an auctioneer. He was a pillar in our community, someone who supported countless people, showed up when others needed him, and left an everlasting impact. He showed me, and so many others in the auction industry, that there is so much more to auctioneering than talking fast. There’s heart behind the microphone.

That lesson is a huge part of why Browning Benefits means so much to me. I’ve been blessed to use auctioneering as a way to give back, raising money for families, individuals, organizations, and charities in need. Every benefit I get to be a part of reminds me that an auctioneer has the opportunity to do so much more than sell an item. We can bring people together, create hope, and make a difference in someone’s life.

As I continue growing in this industry, I hope to carry Larry’s legacy with me, serving others, giving back to my community, and putting just as much heart into the why behind the microphone as the words that come out of it. I hope to live a life and build a legacy that he would be proud of.

A very special thank you to BreeAnn Brinkley, Larry’s daughter, for presenting me with this scholarship and for helping continue his legacy. Receiving this from someone who knew and loved Larry makes this honor even more meaningful.

I’m beyond grateful for this opportunity, and I hope to honor Larry’s legacy every time I step behind the microphone. 🤍🎤

Two hearts. One fight. One community behind them. 💙

David and LaGayla Nelson are facing an incredibly difficult season together as they both battle cancer. David is battling prostate cancer, while LaGayla is fighting stage 4 brain, liver, and lung cancer.

Now, it’s our turn to stand beside them. 💙

We’re coming together for a Benefit Auction for David & LaGayla Nelson to help ease some of the financial burden and remind this family that they are not fighting alone.

Every donation, every bid, every purchase, and every person who shows up makes a difference.

When a family is facing a battle this big, a community can make all the difference. Let’s come together, show them some love, and give them a little extra strength for the road ahead.

And for the lady, perhaps a delayed Leadership Summit post?

While AFR is a leadership camp, I found that many lessons we studied could be related back to faith.
Through out my life, verse Psalm 121:1-2 has held a special place in my heart. And as I attended my first AFR Camp, it had been on my mind that whole week!

"I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth." — Psalm 121:1–2

Mountains can often represent our greatest accomplishments, our biggest challenges, and the crucial moments that shape us. But Psalm 121 reminds us that our hope isn't found in the mountains themselves, but instead from the One who created them.

True leadership never will be and never has been about reaching the highest point or receiving recognition. It's about keeping our eyes on Christ, trusting Him to guide every single step, and serving others with the love our Father has shown us. Because when we do, others will be inspired to do the same.
