Last year, I came to Pans as a grey belt. Shortly after the tournament, I earned my yellow belt.

Back then, I was scared. I was nervous. I didn’t think I was good enough to compete against the best kids in the world.

As the months went by, something changed.

I started believing that if I stayed dedicated, trusted my coaches, and kept showing up every day, I could compete with anyone.

For the last four weeks, I committed to more than just training. I focused on my nutrition, stayed disciplined with every meal, made the sacrifices, and pushed myself further than I ever had before.

The goal was to become a Pans Champion.

I came up one match short.

But I also proved something to myself…

I belong here.

This silver medal means more than just second place. It reminds me how far I’ve come and shows me what’s possible when you believe in yourself and refuse to give up.

Thank you to my family, my coaches, my teammates, and everyone who believed in me.

I’ll be back. ❤️🥋

🥋❤️ Tomorrow, I have the privilege of stepping back onto one of the biggest stages in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Tomorrow, I don’t step onto those mats alone.

❤️ I carry my family’s name with pride.
🥋 I carry the lessons, guidance, and belief of my coaches.
🤝 I carry every teammate who has pushed me through the toughest rounds, celebrated the victories, and helped me grow through every setback.

To my family thank you for every early morning 🌅, every late night 🌙, every mile traveled ✈️🚗, and every sacrifice you’ve made so I could chase this dream. ❤️

To my coaches and teammates at @bramptonjiujitsu @matmenwrestling @elevatenation_ thank you for believing in me, challenging me, and making me better every single day🦁💛 Thank you to @lansdowneexcavation for the tremendous support ✌️

No matter what happens tomorrow, I promise to compete with heart ❤️, respect 🤝, courage 🥋, and gratitude 🙏. I’ll leave everything I have on those mats.

3 days to go!

Before every tournament, my dad always reminds me:

“When you step on the mats, you don’t just represent your team and your gym… you represent your family too.” ❤️

That always stays with me.

I want to make my family proud by being kind, respectful, and giving my best every time I step on the mats.

I know this isn’t my usual jiu-jitsu post, but today was one of the biggest days of my life. ❤️🎓
Today, I graduated with Honours and was recognized with the Principal’s Award and the Leadership Award.

I’m a little sad because I know in a few days, I’ll walk out of elementary school for the very last time.

The place where I grew up, made amazing friends, learned life lessons, and created memories I’ll carry with me forever.

I’m excited for what’s next, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little sad too.

Some moments in life are so special that you don’t realize how much they mean until they’re almost over. 🥹
Don’t worry though, I only cried a little today. By “a little,” I mean enough tears to probably move up a weight class. 😂

After this week, it’s back to work. Four weeks until I chase one of the biggest goals of my year. But today, I’m just grateful. Grateful for my family, my teachers, my friends, and everyone who helped me become the person I am today.

2026 Detroit Open! 🏆
Quick trip to Detroit with some awesome teammates.
Had the chance to work on a few things, learn, compete, and keep improving.
Every tournament is another step forward.
