There are seasons of life that don't have names.

You're no longer who you used to be, but you're not yet who you're becoming.

You grieve old versions of yourself while learning to embrace new ones.

You question your voice, your faith, your courage, your purpose.

Some days you feel like you're healing, and other days, it feels like you're breaking all over again.

I've lived in that space, and somewhere in the middle of it all, I started writing.

What began as scattered thoughts, quiet prayers, questions, poems and late-night voice notes slowly became something bigger than I ever imagined.

In Between Breaking and Becoming is my debut EP.

It is a collection of stories from a season that changed me.

Stories about fear, growth, healing, faith, identity, and finding the courage to keep becoming.

On August 6, I'm finally opening that chapter to you.

I hope when you listen, you don't just hear me.

You know my name, you've read my words.

Some of you found me through a post, some of you stumbled here by accident, and some of you have been here quietly from the beginning, but I don't think we've actually met yet.

I've been showing up in your feed, sharing pieces of myself through words and reflections, but there is so much more to me than what makes it into a post.

So today I want to do this properly, swipe through and meet the real me, not just the writer. And when you're done, come back and tell me something about yourself.

On December 31st, I disappeared not because I wanted to, but because I had to.

I realized that execution without proper intention is just noise, so I went back to the drawing board to build something worth hearing.

I spent too long shrinking in fear and hiding my true self.

In the silence, I learned that greatness isn't about being loud; it’s about being seen and helping others feel seen.

Maybe this is the part of the letter I didn't know how to fit into songs.

I made In Between Breaking and Becoming from feelings I couldn't always explain, questions I didn't have answers to, and pieces of myself I was still trying to understand.

I didn't know who would listen; I just knew I needed to let it exist outside of me.

If any part of it finds its way to you, I hope you find a little piece of yourself there's too.

Learn to make war and keep at it; not every difficult season means you have to give up.

Sometimes, you need to rest, pray, learn, receive help, and find the strength to take the next step.

My prayer for you is that God will give you the strength to keep pressing on.

May you not lose yourself in the process.

May grace meet you where your strength ends, and may you always remember: you are pressed, but not crushed.

Parenting, to me, looks like this: not just providing, but being present.

Reading the bedtime stories, apologising when I'm wrong, and creating a home where they feel safe enough to be themselves.

Eventually, having the courage to let them become their own person.

I don't hope to be a perfect parent. I hope to be present. 🌸

Somewhere along the way, we forgot how to play. 🌸

We got so caught up in growing up that we forgot to make room for the child still living inside us.

Maybe it's time to laugh a little louder, be a little sillier, and do things just because they make us happy.

After all, we can grow up without leaving our inner child behind. 🤍

Growing up, I heard so many things about what it means to be a good woman.

Some I understood, some I questioned, and some I still don't understand. 😂

The older I get, the more I realise that becoming a woman isn't about collecting a list of rules and following them without question.

It's about learning, unlearning, listening, questioning, and slowly figuring out what kind of woman I actually want to become.

I don't have everything figured out, and I'm sure some of my thoughts will evolve with time.

But I think it's okay to ask, Why? instead of accepting something simply because it's been said for generations.

So, here are a few common statements that will probably never make complete sense to me as a woman.

Maybe you'll disagree with some of them; that's okay too. 🌸

A girl shouldn't have to spend her life becoming who the world wants her to be. 🌸

From the way she dresses to the dreams she's allowed to pursue, everyone seems to have instructions for her life.

But who gets to decide who she becomes?

This International Day of the Girl Child, may we make room for girls to choose, to dream, to question, and to become on their own terms.

Her life, her voice, her future.
