The quote is from the very start of the second book, The wicked King from the Folk of the Air series by @blackholly
Right after an assassination attempt is made on the High King of Elfhame- Cardan Greenbriar.

The thing that struck me delighted was the brief conversation they had before Cardan slept on Jude's bed like it was his own.

["For a moment," he says, "I wondered i wondered if it wasn't you shooting bolts at me"
I make a face a face at him. "And what made you decide it wasn't?"
He grins up at me. "They missed"]
Absolute cinema!!

[Cardan Greenbriar, Jude Duarte, The cruel prince, The wicked king, Queen of nothing, folk of the air series, Holly black]

[YA fantasy, enemies to lovers, Political fantasy]

The series follows Jude Duarte as she strives to protect her family and strikes a deal with the fae, the cruel prince -Cardan Greenbriar, now the high king of Elfhame (A trick done by Jude herself)
Throughout the folk of the Air series, Cardan is portrayed as the spoiled, alcoholic king who only cares about hosting parties and drinking wine. by @alizeh_reads

If they don’t spend at least 800 pages aggressively ignoring their feelings only to accidentally brush knuckles in chapter 42, I don’t want it. Give me the angst. THE YEARNING!! 🥰😋

A day well spent at Liberty Books (tee-hee)

Getting to explore the shelves, browse through so many books, and spend time surrounded by stories was such a lovely experience. Bookstores really are my happy place, and this visit made me want to add about a hundred more books to my TBR 😭

And I was reading the ending of All this twisted glory where Alizeh says that I want you to know that this is not a dream to Cyrus after the blood oath. I love themmmmm. Maybe a little too much?
Just wanted to let you guys know that in between so many fantastic books of so many genres I still chose to be engrossed in Cyrus and Alizeh's story.
What can I sayyyy, they are my Rebecca and maybe I'm a lil bit obsessed 🦄🪄

Thank you, Liberty Books, for having me! If you're a book lover in Pakistan, consider this your sign to visit your nearest Liberty Books outlet. You might just find your next favourite read.

I kid you nawtt they have every freaking genre you could think of. BRO THEY EVEN HAVE BOOKS ON MAKEUP!!! I DID NOT EVEN KNOW THAT THOSE THINGS EXISTED!!! 😭💗And we aren't talking about magazines, proper books.
(Zubaida aapa to Kylie Jenner Ka safar😋)

Oh and one more thing, I read the first page of Alchemised in the Bookstore and it promised some great misery , so should I go for it? Or should I keep myself engaged with Cyrus??? ( Or married hehe. You guys didn't get the joke. Did you? Koi nhee I laughed just okay. You nonchalant small potatoes 🪓🦄)

THE MIRROR OF INFINITE ENDINGS||
I was promised a shy Jacks 😋💒💗
Daddy's HOOOOOMMME. HOME FOR ME 🍎🍎🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🍎🍎🍎🍎🏹🏹🏹🍎🍎🍎🦊🦊🦊🏹

Jacks and Evangeline Fox have finally found their happily ever after.

Everything here in the Hollow is wonderful and perfect.

Nothing is going to go wrong.

No one is keeping a secret . . . except for maybe one.

But don’t worry, it’s not going to rewrite reality or alter history or change the ending of Jacks and Evangeline’s story.

Definitely not.

THIS WOVEN KINGDOM -5|| The author hasn't introduced that option yet 🥰💔
Tahereh Mafi I LOVE YOU!!!! WE ARE GETTING TWK 5CRUMNBS LESSSSGOOOO 😋

Inspired by Persian dark mythology, This Woven Kingdom series, centers on the lore of the Jinn (beings of fire and smoke) and ancient earthly magic.

The premise of This Woven Kingdom follows Alizeh, a-long lost Jinn heir hiding as a low-class servant, and Kamran, a crown prince bound by prophecies to destroy her as their worlds collide in a forbidden romance.

There's slow burn, angst, forbidden love and the most scrumptious, delectable tension. And it has an ethereal beauty, the writing feels like you're being served pain and yearning so painful.
Don't worry Alizeh patience is a virtue 🙏

#VICTORVALE || Villains by V.E Schwab

"Victor Vale was not a fucking sidekick" damn okayyyy.

Another edit of victor vale because why not🪄🥰

Victor Vale is the calculating, brilliant, and morally gray anti-hero protagonist of V.E. Schwab’s Villains novel series (which includes Vicious and Vengeful). He is a classic "Slytherin" archetype defined by his sharp intellect, pragmatic ruthlessness,( and of course the Platinum blonde hair contrasted against pitch-black tailored wool coats and rainy, grey cityscapes) and an intense, ten-year personal vendetta against his former best friend and college roommate, Eli Ever.

"I didn't expect him to be this thin" what else did you expect Serena!???? The hulk??

The core premise of V.E. Schwab's Villains series revolves around a single, chilling question: If you survived a near-death experience and gained superpowers, would you become a hero, or would you become a monster? And the everlasting obsession of a very asexual Victor with his best friend Eli ever.

Yknow once a really wise person said that if the rivalry ends more than seven years, You guys are not rivals. You are basically married. And the way that Vic unalives Eli's girlfriends ummm.......(Every pun intended)
