When the redirection is instant and meaningful.

Yesterday was a lot. I called for support. Sophie answered.

3 BAFTAs. Creator of Alma’s Not Normal. Founded Stories of Care to amplify writers from care-experienced backgrounds. Spent time in care herself as a child.

She knows exactly what Luma is and why it cannot fail.

The beautiful part? I didn’t even have to ask.

Yesterday, Luma Safe Space delivered its first in-person pilot session in Hammersmith.

We brought together parents navigating CAMHS waiting lists — and what became clear very quickly is this:

The wait isn’t just a delay.
It’s where families are carrying the most.

There is currently no structured, trauma-informed support for parents during this period — yet the emotional load is immediate and ongoing.

Luma was built to bridge that gap.

This is just the beginning.
We’re now refining the programme directly from what we heard in the room.
