There’s a kind of love that doesn’t need long conversations—just presence. Just a voice. Just knowing you’re there.

My Grandmother (Momma Shirley) was love in its purest form.
She taught me strength in quiet ways, how to love without conditions, and how to show up no matter what.

Even as she was transitioning, she reminded me of the depth of our bond—one that not even death can break.

Everything she poured into me, I will carry forever. In the way I love, in the way I care for my children, in the strength she taught me to have.

I’m so thankful for the selfless, unconditional love she gave.

Shirley Mae, you ran your race for 89 beautiful years, so it’s time for you to rest, PEACEFULLY.

I love you, forever.

“SHE BELIEVED SHE COULD SO SHE DID”

Despite everything, GOD I THANK YOU! Without you, I am nothing! I loss my Dad the week before finals, and I wanted to give up BUT I know that’s not what he would’ve wanted. So sudden and so unexpected, I miss you CJ, your Big Babee did it! Hit that jigg for me 😌🕊️

To my kids and baby sister: This one is for you three! I put my mind to it, and I didn’t let nothing or anybody stop me. I promised y’all the world, and I’m going to give y’all that 💜

Now that I’m done with the B.S. let me prepare for the next chapter . 😎🙌🏾

THIRTY-FOUR looks like knowing who I am, honoring where I’ve been, and trusting where I’m going.

I’ve learned that growth doesn’t always look loud. Sometimes it looks like peace. Boundaries. Healing. Choosing yourself. Letting go. Starting again.

I’m walking into this year with a grateful heart.

I did it, Daddy! 🙌🏾🥺💜🎓

Thank you for being there every step of the way since I decided to go back to school. God blessed me with amazing parents, and now one of my biggest fears has become reality. Life without my Dad is heartbreaking & indescribable. He always gave us everything we needed (unconditional love, time, and attention). Some days are extremely harder than the others but everyday I feel his loving spirit, and see his face when I look in the mirror 😂. I miss my dance partner and my protector. It’s true though, God really does take the BEST! I miss him immensely 💔 I promise I will continue living a life that reflects his values, of love, compassion, and selflessness.
