Nice pick up today. It's definitely seen better days. It has rust, gamecube doesn't read games, dvd driver doesn't eject disc, front hinge doesn't open and close properly, wheels need to be replaced, and it needs a new paint job. The restoration process has begun. I'll keep you guys updated.

The story behind this one makes this one of my favorite additions to my collection.

After hours of negotiations with a collector selling his entire collection, a reseller that I personally know out bids me. While it was expected because this reseller is great at what he does, he doesn't manage to pick up this item from him. The collector and I continue to negotiate when he offers me this game at a respectable price. I continued to stay firm on my negotiation, offering the same % of value. The collector got offended and retracted his offer, saying he would no longer sell it to me.

2 years later... I get in contact with this uper cool, down to earth collector. We have an extensive conversation and have an immediate connection. He promises that if he were to ever part wats with his collection that I would have first dibs.

4 months later. I receive a text with, "Yooo, what's up, bro! It's "????" from offer up again. Just curious...how much would you pay for the Chrono Trigger I have CIB?

We agree at a price and meet up. I asked him if he minded telling me the story of how he got the game, and he began by saying the guys name that sold it to him.

Well, well, well.... What do you know? I now have in my possession the original Chrono trigger that the original owner decided not to sell me because he got offended Oh, and I got it for less....
