POV: You found the one lift in the Dolomites that still serves Grappa. 🏔️🥃

Sometimes the best part of the “Sellaronda” isn’t the vertical drop—it’s the pit stop. If you know, you know. There is nothing quite like a little “mountain fuel” to take the edge off a chilly morning at 2,500 meters. 🇮🇹

Is it even a ski day in Italy if there isn’t a glass of Grappa involved? ⛷️✨

Tag the crew you’d stop here with! 👇

Here’s why the “world’s okayest skiers” often have the best trips. 😁

While the experts are busy stressing over edge angles and chasing the last patch of untouched powder, the “okayest” skiers have already figured out the real secret:

Skiing is just the appetizer. 🥨🏔️

They don’t let a 2-inch snow report or a missed lift opening ruin the day. Why? Because they know the real magic happens in the “In-Between.” It’s the parking lot breakfast, the mid-mountain laughs, and the legendary stories told over a round of drinks when the sun goes down.

At All About Après, we believe that being “strong on the mountain” is about more than just your turns—it’s about your ability to live the lifestyle loop. When you stop obsessing over the stats, you start making the memories. 🍻✨

Are you a “performance-first” skier or a “vibe-first” skier? Tell us in the comments! 👇

Beach squad, Labor Day weekend is the wildest ride — but you can stay ahead of the chaos and keep those après surf vibes alive. Here’s how:
#allaboutaprès #itsalldownhillfromhere

1️⃣ Keep hydration handy
Pack a portable cooler filled with your favorite hydrating drinks like coconut water, electrolyte mix, or iced herbal tea. Staying hydrated between surf sessions and beach parties keeps energy up and the good vibes flowing.

2️⃣ Find your chill zone
Labor Day spots get crowded fast. Scout quieter, less popular beaches nearby for après surf hangs where you can relax and recharge without the noise and rush.

3️⃣ Stay cozy and dry
Bring a quick-dry towel and an extra layer like a light hoodie or zip-up. Coastal temps drop after sunset, and staying warm helps you extend that golden hour vibe comfortably.

Ready to crush your next beach weekend with zero stress? Follow for more surf lifestyle hacks that turn waves into unforgettable memories. 🌊🔥

👉 Tap the link in bio to snag your RovR cooler and transform your next beach hang!

I am a ski guy. I do not fish. They put me in chest-high waders in a mountain river in Utah at 8am and I have never felt more out of my element in my life.
This was not my idea.

JANS outfitters in Park City handed me a rod, pointed me at the Provo River, and told me to relax. I was standing in moving water in Gore-Tex waders at altitude before my coffee had fully kicked in. Relaxing was not immediately available.

Here’s what nobody tells you about fly fishing. It’s actually beautiful. Quiet in a way that mountains only are before the lifts open. The kind of morning that skiers understand instinctively — that specific silence right before everything starts.

I caught three fish.

I’d like to be casual about that but I’m not going to be casual about that. I caught three fish. In a river. With a rod I had never held before. The guide was professionally supportive in a way that suggested he was as surprised as I was.

We drove back to Park City after. @uintabrewing Cutthroat Pale Ale at noon felt like the most earned beer I’ve had since the last time I skied a black diamond and didn’t embarrass myself.

The cold river at 8am required Liquid IV after. My body made that very clear. Link in bio.

Lift Beer Confessions has officially left New Jersey.
We’re in a Park City hotel hot tub in July with no snow, no chairlift, and absolutely zero shame about it.

This is what happens when the ski guy goes to a ski town in summer. You find the closest thing to après and you commit to it completely. No lifts running? Fine. The hot tub is the lift now. The beer is still cold. The confessions are still terrible.
Speaking of terrible — the dad jokes this episode reached a new low. Which, for this series, is genuinely an achievement.

I’d like to apologize to everyone in the hot tub that night. You didn’t sign up for this. You were just trying to relax after a long day in Park City and instead you got a guy with a beer and a punchline that should never have left the draft folder.
You’re welcome.

@montuckycoldsnacks provided the beer. The hot tub provided the venue. The mountain in the background provided absolutely nothing except a reminder that in four months there will be snow on it and I will be significantly happier.

❄️ Follow @allaboutapres — Lift Beer Confessions. Every two weeks. New episode, new location, same level of dad joke that makes everyone around you visibly uncomfortable.

I’ve skied PayDay a hundred times. I had no idea what was underneath it.

Nobody told me. Not once. Not a single person in all the times I’ve talked about Park City, read about Park City, or watched ski edits filmed on Park City mentioned that there is a 150-year-old silver mine underneath one of the most skied runs in Utah.
I found out on a chairlift in June.

The Silver King Mine has been sitting under PayDay since the 1870s. The same mountain that hosts tens of thousands of skiers every winter has a whole other story happening underneath it — one that existed long before the first lift tower went in, long before anyone thought to point skis down it.

We rode the Lift up from the bed walked around the top of the mountain, and came out knowing something about Park City that most people who’ve skied it their whole lives don’t know. The we rode the Town Lift down for après cocktails @palominoparkcity

That’s the thing about places you think you already know. There’s always another layer.

📍 Park City Mountain, UT — save this for the trip. The mine tour is not optional.

Four months until first chair. My legs are already behind and I know it.

July is the month skiers pretend doesn’t matter. Beach trips, backyard cookouts, zero accountability. And then December hits and the first mogul field reminds you exactly what you did with your summer.

Not this year.

CrossFit. Hyrox. Leg days. The kind of training that makes you question your life choices around rep four of a set of five. My quads have been in open revolt since Sunday and I am completely fine with that because I know what it buys me.

It buys me December. A full season. Legs that don’t give out on day three of a trip I waited all year for.

The cold beer at the bottom of the mountain hits different when you’ve actually earned the run that got you there. That’s the whole point. That’s always been the whole point.

Four months out and Liquid IV is the only reason I’m functional after these sessions. Save 20% Link in bio.

Follow along. Ski prep drops every week until first chair. Drop a comment if you’re already training. I need the company.

Park City without snow is either depressing or the best kept secret in skiing. It’s not depressing.
I expected a ghost town. A ski resort killing time until winter. Lifts parked, runs empty, the whole place waiting for snow like the rest of us.

That’s not what I found.

What I found was a mountain town that doesn’t need the skiing to justify itself. Main Street still buzzing. Trails full. Restaurants packed. People who looked like they genuinely chose to be there in summer — not because it was the offseason default, but because Park City in June is actually the move.

Four days. Mountain biking, fly fishing, a silver mine underneath PayDay lift that nobody told me about, and some of the best meals I’ve had anywhere near a mountain. None of it required a chairlift.

The skiing is still the main event. But the offseason is the secret.

📍 Park City, UT — save this. The full series drops every week through August.

Nobody told me summer Après could hit like this.
🥃
Savor the Summit brought High West’s Spirit Garden to life right on Main Street — mountain air, a pour that actually meant something, and the kind of evening that makes you forget there’s no snow on the ground six months out of the year.
🍷
Then dinner. Riverhorse on Main partnered with Piattelli Vineyards for a multi-course menu that started with seafood and somehow ended up in Rocky Mountain venison and buffalo. Wine from Argentina’s highest-elevation vineyards, poured under a summer sky on Historic Main Street. The kind of meal you don’t rush.
⛷️🎣
This is the thing about Park City nobody puts in the ski brochure. It doesn’t stop being good when the lifts close. It just changes shape.

I paid $10 for a Narragansett at a ski resort.
A single Narragansett. In a plastic cup. Served by someone who looked as confused about the price as I was.

You know what a Narragansett costs at the local liquor store? $9 for a six pack of tallboys. The same beer. The exact same beer. Just with more of it, in a bigger can, without the plastic cup or the existential crisis.

I did the math. I paid $10 for something that costs $1.50. On purpose. With my own wallet. Because I was cold and my legs hurt and the mountain broke me and I would have paid $40 and we both know it.

That’s resort pricing. That’s the whole scam. And we keep showing up.

The Liquid IV I had in my backpack was more hydrating, more useful, and frankly more dignified. Link in bio.

The one thing that’s ruined more ski trips than bad weather.

Not the cold. Not the lift lines. Not even resort beer prices, and those are criminal.

It’s your lips. You don’t think about it until day two when you’re talking out the side of your mouth wondering what went wrong.

It’s June. I’ve got zero ski footage to reenact this with. Doesn’t matter. I’ve learned this lesson enough times in real conditions that I don’t need a demonstration.

Altitude and sun at elevation will wreck you faster than anything else on the mountain, and almost nobody packs for it until it’s already too late.
Here’s what actually goes in the bag now. No exceptions.

📍 Save this before your next trip. You’ll thank yourself on day two.

Nobody warned me about the espresso in the Dolomites. They should have.

Somewhere between the Sella massif and a rifugio I had no business finding, I sat down, ordered a coffee, and completely reconsidered every coffee break I’d ever taken in my life.

It wasn’t just the espresso. It was the altitude. The view that made no sense. The fact that I’d earned the seat by actually getting there. A guy next to me in full ski kit reading a newspaper like this was completely normal. Which apparently it was. For everyone except me.

That’s the thing about the Dolomites nobody puts in the brochure. The mountain stops you mid-run and makes you sit with it. The espresso is just the excuse.

I’ve had better coffee. I’ve never had a better coffee break.

📍 Sellaronda, Dolomites — add it to the list. Save this for the trip planning.
