Can I get a do over??? 🤯 Tonight, Daniel wanted to learn how to reach out to prospective tenants for a new KAIN listing in Lakeview.

His favorite store is Foxtrot, so I created a KAIN email address for him and showed him how to contact their broker.

He’s only 13. To me, it was just a fun little activity. But to him? Apparently, it was the COOLEST THING EVER.

And I just kept typing. 🤦‍♂️

Watching the video back, I can see the excitement on his face. My son was genuinely excited about something I do for a living. He wanted to be part of my world.

And I missed the moment.

I wish I had stopped typing, leaned over, and given him the biggest hug.

We spend so much time building something for our kids that sometimes we forget to stop and appreciate when they actually want to be part of it.

Need to be better at that.

At least I have this video. And I get to watch his face light up all over again.

Maybe the best part of building KAIN won’t be the deals we close. ❤️ taken in Chicago, Illinois by @allan__perales

With my 13-year-old son—I love to listen to how he thinks.

We started talking about selling lemonade. All of a sudden he’s talking about branding, packaging, free samples, differentiation, testing ideas and learning from failure.

Favorite Quote: “You’ve got to be unique because everyone’s trying to do the same thing.”

Not bad for 13!
