Starting out the new year with a new charcoal drawing (22' x30") - first Bristolcone pines got to visit in Colorado- the oldest known living specimens exceeding 2,400 years, with some estimates placing them at over 2,500 years old. I was humbled in their presence, truly a moving experience . Many thanks to #timetamelt for the excursion!

There is nothing quite like seeing a newly emerged monarch, provides a nice element of peace. It was an odd juxtaposition finding the chrysalis on our agave, we left it outside for the monarch to emerge and such a delight coming home from NJ! by @allansumm
