What's up impactionary family! Let's take a moment to analyze the words of our good brother and legend Hakeem Croom (@king_jubal) I believe there are two very important points of focus in this clip. .
.
1. Notice how King Hakeem mentions that his Black ideologies adpated and changed over time. This is. natural part of evolution, and evidence as to why we should have grace and be understanding with out fellow Black folk on their journey to liberation and consciousness. Experience shapes understanding, and each of out unique experiences will breed different understandings, create space for acceptance amongst ourselves. Let's be the catalyst for Black unity and the barriers to division. .
.
2. Brother Hakeem states that post integration, we as Black people, were required to uphold standards of whiteness. Here is California many of us Afrakan peoples and descendants are victims of a concept know as 'Hegemonic Dominance' this is described as the political, economic, social amd military predominance or control of one state over others. An easily digestible example of this is how we dress. Afrakan peoples and descendants along with people from a multitude of ethnicities where T-shirts, jeans and sneakers. All of which were not indigenous to the attire of our people. We speak English, also not indigenous to the language of our people. Acknowledge the aspects of life in which we have been forced into a culture that is not our own. We have been led to believe that "european" culture is the normative. This is a falsehood amongst many others that has been portrayed as truth. .

All this to say, continue to do your research, be analytical, make the distinction between knowledge and information, love one another, and of course, continue making an IMPACT! ❤🖤💚
