Enjoyed shooting this with @skyyebrielle …her personality and energy on set were magical! Finally got to link with @christopherjamarpayne too who smoked wardrobe effortlessly …. Looking forward to building with you my brotha! And the hair and makeup magician that is @ibadiah_ <~ I honestly don’t know very many talents that do both makeup and hairstyling at a high level! There were a few different lighting setups through the shoot as I used this as an opportunity to explore some ideas… the primary setup was a @profoto bouncing off a 12by that was off to the side of the set by about 15’-20’ …. I’ll have a breakdown on YouTube next week for my lighting heads! by @allencooley

Type “template” in the comments and I’ll send you a link.Production books typically go hand in hand with more involved shoots like commercial shoots, but smaller productions may have a call sheet with maybe a moodboard and shot list. It mainly is just a document to keep everyone on the same page. Depending on how big the production is, the production book is like a collectors item lol, maybe that’s just me, but I’ve kept a copy of every production booklet I’ve had from every major production I’ve done. I even have the ones where I was a PA on someone else’s set. There’s no wrong way to create one, as long as it does its job. If you read this far you may like to know I created a digital production book template you can purchase. I hated starting from scratch and not really knowing how to lay it out, and what to include but now I’ve got a standard approach to all of them. by @allencooley

Here is some pro level equipment that you should rent or buy asap! The arms that come with the C-stands can get a lot done, but this is in a league of its own. *They didn’t pay me for this, although I wish they did. by @allencooley
