A bed is a branch you ripen on — Originally exhibited at Circuit Istanbul in 2019, this installation consists of a four-meter handmade quilt embroidered with the phrase “a bed is a branch you ripen on.” The installation was later expanded into a video work featuring a butoh performance by Ülkü Çağlayan and Derin Burnaz, directed by me and filmed by Emre Köktaş, sound design by Nāda Sound Lab.

Voila! A short film sponsored by @petracoffee ☕️

The concept was born from a casual chat with @kaanbergsen , joking about having French lessons at Petra. The story took off almost by itself, and it all made sense to us. We were also lucky to collaborate with @erenarditi and our small but mighty crew.

Told through the eyes of a child, Voila captures a fleeting moment between a mother and her son, drifting between language, boredom, imagination, and ofcourse, crème brûlée.
Enjoy! by @allfours.creative
