Last year being in my teens, and it has been everything but boring!

I debated making this post for a while because so much has happened this year, but I thought it was time to update! So just to name a few things, I started my first year of college, made the school dance team, sent off my cute missionary, met some of my best friends, and got diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma cancer!

Getting diagnosed has definitely been the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through. It’s not easy being 18, alone in your apartment when the doctor calls you. My whole world I knew before changed in the blink of an eye and I didn’t know how to process it all.

I immediately got bombarded with lots of doctor’s appointments, going into surgery asap and figuring out what to do for treatment. It’s a lot to go through at such a young age but I definitely wouldn’t be getting through it without the love and support of my amazing family and friends and of course my savior Jesus Christ.

This definitely has not been an easy journey, and it has taught me to appreciate my body more and not take anything for granted, but I’m so grateful for it and I know I will come out better and stronger because of it!! taken in Nineteen by @alli_kate4
