Congratulations to 2027 MB, Brooklyn Scruggs, on her commitment to Tennessee State University!

Why TSU?

“I chose Tennessee State University because the moment I visited, I felt like I was exactly where I was supposed to be. I’ve always wanted to attend an HBCU and experience the family, culture, and community that comes with it, and TSU gave me that feeling. I loved how welcoming everyone was, especially the team, and I could truly see myself growing both on and off the court here. Most importantly, TSU feels like home, and I’m so excited to call it my next chapter.”

Congratulations to 2028 MB, Lucy Schmoke, on her commitment to Western Kentucky University!

Why WKU?

“I’ve known Western Kentucky was where i wanted to continue my volleyball career since I met Coach Travis Hudson and the other staff before my freshman year at team camp! I was drawn to the kindness and energy of the team and community and I felt a special connection to the area because of how close it is to home! While being at camp not too long ago, the way they run their middles stood out to me. I love that they fully trust their middles to do their job and run everything through the middle. I loved their coaching staff, community and immediately felt loved the second i got there and am SO excited to continue my career at WKU!!!❤️🤍”

I am so excited to announce I have verbally committed to continue my athletic and academic career at @wku_volleyball!!! I am so beyond lucky to have this opportunity and to become a part of this community!! I have had so many people help me through this journey including coaches teammates and parents and I wouldn’t be where I am now without them!

I want to thank my parents for always showing up and doing the impossible with getting me to every practice and every game without fail. They have supported me through every up and down and sacrificed so much for me to have this opportunity and I am beyond excited for this to help me grow as an athlete and a human!! I wouldn’t be anywhere without them!!! @k.schmoke @cschmoke

I am so lucky to be following in the footsteps of @schaadrat!! I am so grateful for all of the time she spent helping me grow in christ and as a volleyball player through out the years and I am so grateful to have had her as my coach!!

This is going to be such an exciting journey and I can not wait to see where this leads!!! I fully trust this school to take me where I want to go and develop me as a volleyball player!! GO TOPS!!!❤️🤍
