I feel that being humbled by nature’s vastness and beauty is the greatest gift of perspective we can give our children.The Overview Effect is an enlightening experience described by astronauts as a cognitive and emotional shift often brought on while Earth Gazing from space. It is a profound and existential realisation that earth is borderless, people and animals and the environment are interconnected and everything is trivial (Carl Sagan’s the Pale Blue Dot absolutely nails this point I’m trying to make)There is also a name for this type of reawakening brought on from our point of view down here on earth, they call it the Ultraview Effect. This is when exposure to the wonders of Earth’s natural systems provides the same expansion of consciousness and “explosion of awareness” as astronaut Edgar Mitchell describes it. And if I’m being truly real, diving down these rabbit holes of philosophical understanding has actually gotten me through some of the hardest times in life. So for our new generations who are here, developmentally mapping out the architecture of their minds, this is a gift of understanding that can propel them on so many levels through life. And if it’s fundamentally planted there now, they will circle back to it again as adults. So, that’s a piece of my heart I share with you by @allidoreporfavor

When you have to enter through a bookcase for dinner, you know you’re in for a night of surprises!@shellyrestaurant_ absolutely blew me away.Little sister restaurant to the famous @shelanous it was a theatrical experience from the minute we stepped inside, when we were greeted with cocktails in the form of movie popcorn 🍿 I don’t want to give too much away because the creativity behind this 10 course fine dining immersive experience, created by renowned chef Rony Parienty, is something you simply need to see for yourself.There are moments i don’t think have ever been done before (truly!) I give them a standing ovation 👏 by @allidoreporfavor
