POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My days have started and ended with Vinny for the past 452 days, and it is so hard to let him go.

But the ache of letting him go will always be worth the privilege of knowing him, witnessing the love he has for the world, his puppy friends, and every single person lucky enough to meet him. Loving Vinny has been one of the greatest gifts, and even though saying goodbye hurts, I’d choose this heartbreak every time if it means he’ll be able to share it with someone else. He’s taught me so much in these 15 months, and I could not have asked for a better first dog to raise. He is simple, cuddly, and kind, and I know wherever he ends up, will be filled with so much joy. Since the day I picked him up, people have asked me how I'd ever be able to give him up. For the longest time, I never had an answer.
Now I do,
Because this was never about keeping him, it was about helping him become the dog he was always meant to be.

I am so so proud of the dog he’s become and I cannot wait to watch him take on this next chapter by @allie.mccafferty
