senior sunday ♡

this Sunday is dedicated to one of my dear mentors, Wade Nelson, who unexpectedly went home to Jesus this past week.

Wade was someone who never watered down the Gospel. he went places others wouldn’t: juvenile detention centers, and loved on people regardless of their past, their appearance, or their circumstances. he spoke truth boldly, even when it was uncomfortable, and pointed so many people toward Jesus.

his passing has left a void, but also a conviction in my heart. a reminder that we are called to step outside our comfort zones, go where Jesus calls us, love people others overlook, and never be afraid to share the Gospel.

so I’ll ask you the same question I’ve been asking myself: where will you spend eternity? none of us are promised tomorrow. if you don’t know Jesus, don’t wait. and if you do, it’s time to start living like it. be bold. speak truth. love people. live unashamed.

four weeks in the Dominican Republic changed my heart in ways I never expected. I had the privilege of learning alongside the most amazing people, practicing ultrasounds, meeting incredible moms, hosting teams from across the US, and spending countless moments with the sweetest kids. if there’s one thing they taught me, it’s that joy isn’t found in what we have—it’s found in Christ. their joy was unlike anything I’ve ever witnessed.

more than anything, God showed me the beauty of community. through the people of the Dominican, my fellow interns, and every team that came to serve, I saw His love on display over and over again. the Dominican Republic will forever hold a special place in my heart, and I’ll always be grateful for the ways the Lord used this season to grow my faith and remind me that He is so, so good. until next time. ❤️🇩🇴 taken in San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic by @allie_chell
