The past two weeks quickly turned into unexpected heaviness and confusion, yet opening doors to see the Lord’s light in every circumstance. After sudden, and countless PT appointments, negative treatment plans and inconclusive scans, with a heavy heart, medical retirement from sports was something I never thought I would have to accept. All of a sudden the Lord changed my circumstances, from being an athlete from as early as I could walk, starting a new chapter so recently and what feels cut short far too soon, to a season of question and adjustment. Change can be so difficult and confusing to understand. YET, the Lord is so gracious to us and uses all things for good!! Sports have given me far more than I could ever put into words. Shaping my discipline, strengthening my character, teaching me perseverance, and showed me what it means to serve and encourage those around me. Most importantly, gave me opportunities to reflect the light of Jesus in places where results, performance, and achievements can so easily become the measure of worth. Jesus, thank You for every moment, every lesson, every teammate, every opportunity, and even the challenges I did not understand. Thank You for allowing me to experience the joy of competing, pushing my limits, and discovering what You made my body capable of. What a PRIVILEGE it has been to use these gifts for Your glory. Sports what a gift you were, it was a pleasure.❤️‍🩹 by @allierhoadesss
