Thrive at UGA: Bulldog Bridge! I am forever grateful to @ugaossa and @dawgcamp for giving me the chance to pour into such an incredible group of students as they begin their journey here at UGA.

To my Bulldog Bridge campers, watching you grow, open up, and step into this next chapter has been such a joy. I can’t wait to see you thrive on this campus. Always remember to be unapologetically yourself, never let anyone dim your light, and know that you belong here. You’re not just here by chance, but you are here for a reason. There are not enough words to describe how much you mean to me. You started as my mentor, became my co counselor, and have now taken root as one of the most important people in my life — my best friend. Your wisdom, your heart, and your light have guided me through moments of doubt, laughter, growth, and so much joy. I genuinely don’t know how I got so lucky to do this experience with you. You make every day feel meaningful, and I still find myself in awe that I get to call you my friend. You lead with such grace, and you’ve taught me more than you even realize. Thank you for believing in me, challenging me, and loving me so well.

My first group. My heart. Watching you all grow, connect, and step into your own these past few days has been nothing short of incredible. You each brought something so unique to our group, and getting to witness your personalities shine — whether in quiet moments or loud ones — gave me so much hope for what’s to come for you. Starting college is scary, I know. But I want you to remember that you’re never as alone as you think. Be bold. Be curious. Be kind. Step out of your comfort zone, introduce yourself to someone new, join the club that feels out of reach, go to that event alone — I promise, beautiful things come from the uncomfortable. 🐾 What’s up, Dawgs! My name is Sims Alligood, and I am so excited to officially be one of your newest Digital Dawgs! I’m a rising third-year majoring in Psychology here at the University of Georgia, and my ultimate goal is to become a Clinical Psychologist and work closely with individuals navigating mental health challenges. I’m originally from Dublin, Georgia, and I’m incredibly proud to now call Athens my second home.

🐾 I’m involved in several programs that allow me to support and connect with others in meaningful ways. I volunteer with Casa de Amistad, where I help bridge language and cultural gaps while building relationships within the Athens Latino and Hispanic communities. I also serve as a Dawg Camp Counselor for Discovery, Thrive, and Destination, where I guide incoming students through their transitions to college life. Each Dawg Camp experience gives me the opportunity to pour into students from all backgrounds and help them feel at home before classes even begin. These roles have taught me the value of empathy, leadership, and creating spaces where everyone feels seen and supported.

🐾 Being a Digital Dawg means the world to me because I get to share my UGA journey, highlight the people and places that make this campus so special, and hopefully be someone you can relate to. Whether it’s game days in Sanford, coffee runs at Tate, or just finding the little moments that make college life meaningful—I’m here to capture it all. I can’t wait to take you along for the ride!
