Sometimes I see a space and envision what it could become. I’m not always sure where the vision comes from. I just know I feel the urge to bring it to life. What if that’s the way we see each other?

I remember the shame I’ve carried around self-expression, and sometimes I still struggle with it. It’s been a journey of healing, love, freedom, and so much more that I’m still learning to understand.

Going to museums always inspires me but it also makes me sad. I think about when I was a young artist and created to create. Destructively, irresponsibly and now as an adult it’s almost like that part of me has died and I don’t know how to find my way back. It’s like I’m caught in the machine of logic, reason, comfort and safety. Maybe it’s not about finding my way back. Maybe it’s about discovering something or someone new.
