Only 2 weeks to go until our spring gathering at @elysiumswansea - we wanted to hype up our line-up consisting of some amazing activist folk musicians from south wales, and the acts of those of us who organised Anarcha Folk Fest Cymru!

So far we’ve sold less than ten tickets for this event, so if you’re planning to come it would really raise our spirits if you bought an advance ticket - link in bio! If you’re skint there are donation-based options and if you’re comfy there’s also some solidarity options! The event is part of an international day of solidarity @all.eyes.on.masafer.yatta 🇵🇸🫒🕊️

Additionally we’re super pleased that kids are able to attend the event, under 16s must be with an adult. We also have some vegan food being cooked for dinner, bring some cash! 🧄

So… on to the acts (in order of photos)
🎸 @bordercholly all the way from Dublin, she coordinated volunteers at the festival!
🌿 @beggarsbuttons from mid-Wales, Hazel and Leo were the driving force behind the whole event and James was a super-duper practical hero during the festival!
🫒 It’s an honour to have oudmusic_resists as part of this event, a Cardiffian Palestinian his passion for Oud and the power of music is inspiring! We were sad he couldn’t make the festival but glad he’ll be with us in Swansea!
🪕 @allinvain666 will be travelling from Liverpool to join us, he was doing the very hard job of welfare during the event!
🧷 @efasupertramp another part of the core driving force to make the Cymru event happen, closing the open stage on the last day of the festival was amazing fun!
🪉Y Delynquent, a Swansea local starting the day off with a Welsh Rebel Song workshop and then performing later on. She makes an angelic instrument sound so rebellious!
🎵 cosmoguitar, one of the people who set up the original AFF in Netherlands! We can’t wait to have his anarchic folk spirit in Abertawe!
🤠Billie Dragg - Swansea’s newest and rowdiest anarcha folk act. Country crust for trans hooligans!

….. and the wildcard acts closing the night:
🧸 @scarebearsband the punk band of Meg who was part of the core crew!

I'll be kicking off the year with gigs in Boscombe and Reading, with the awesome @ancienthostility and @ashgoblyn . The Reading gig @the_castle_tap is very last minute so any help spreading the word is greatly appreciated!

The Boscombe gig also has an awesome lineup featuring @spannereaston and @uncivilizeduk so would be great to see any friends in the area (or Reading friends fancy travelling down?).

RIOT GARDEN in collaboration brings you a celebration of DIY punk!

THURSDAY 6TH NOVEMBER
AATMA, MANCHESTER
DOORS 7PM

Tiered tickets available in our bio ranging from £4 - £15. Tickets OTD will be £8 but as always no one turned away for lack of funds.

Reina Roja

Madrid’s own Celtic antifascist folk-punk rebels, Reina Roja, are storming the UK for the very first time this November!

Armed with fiddles, flutes, pounding drums, and the raw fire of punk, they weave Celtic melodies with urgent anthems of protest, solidarity, and defiance. Their live shows are a whirlwind of stomping rhythms, rowdy choruses, and dance-floor rebellion—folk tradition colliding head-on with DIY punk energy. They call it 'hooligan folk' - are you ready?

Time to raise your fists, raise your voices, and join the riotous sound of Reina Roja.
¡Sigue luchando!

Minimal Faff

Manchester punk trio known for their melody-driven vocals and unrelenting live energy. Blending melodic punk rock with ska-infused rhythms, they deliver a stomping in-your-face sound with equal parts grit and humour. Lyrically, they take on political issues and everyday struggles with clarity and edge, crafting songs that make you dance, think, and sing along.

All in Vain

All In Vain is a one-man-band Banjo-driven anarcho folk punk artist who has been making waves across the DIY scene! Expect a blast of banjo-fueled energy and raw, defiant spirit. Blending driving rhythms, heartfelt melodies, and anarcho folk-punk urgency, his sound is impossible to ignore. Expect stomping beats, mesmerising hooks, and resonating sounds of rebellion.

Captain South America

Captain South America is a multicultural folk punk fusion band based in Bradford. Anarchy, liberty, equality, solidarity and anti-fascism is embodied in their sound. Not to be missed!
