Walking down these narrow streets, I caught it — faint, almost unreal.

The soft crackle of a record player drifting from a cozy nook tucked between buildings. Books stacked by the window. Paintings leaning against the walls like old friends. Painted ties hanging in quiet rows — each one holding a story no one has read yet.

Seoul.

A city of opposites. Steel and glass tower above. Warm, rustic freedom hides below. Industrial pulse — and wooden stillness.

I stood there for a moment, listening not just to the music, but to what this place stirred in me.

I can breathe here.
I can belong to both worlds.

I felt her tiny feet touch my skin. The sensation was barely heavier than a sunbeam — a ticklish, cautious shuffle of microscopic claws, leaving a trail of goosebumps in their wake.

The whole world slowed, yielding to the rhythm of this unhurried journey along my arm. Time stopped rushing; it thickened, spreading like honey. Overhead, suspended in flawless blue, the clouds drifted by in a quiet and stately manner — majestic ships of eternity, with nowhere to be.

My breath stopped for an instant, frozen somewhere in my chest, as if afraid of frightening away this fragile trust. And then it deepened so fully that I thought I heard the world exhale along with me.

I still think about that warm glow of reading lamps. a couple dozed off, leaning into each other like they had all the time in the world. somewhere a violin was singing, and I could hear my own breath between the notes. everything was drenched in life — not the loud kind, but the quiet, tender kind that only exists when you’re fully inside a moment 🎻📖
