“You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step”- MLK Jr.

I took a leap of faith with Howard. A first generation student who didn’t know anything about college or HBCU culture. When we say “The Howard Experience” it truly is an experience. I was not prepared for Howard at all(didn’t even tour the campus, nothing, went in completely blind). It turned out to be a journey FULL of ups and downs, but this journey taught me a lot about myself. 4 years of dedication, hard work, patience, and unwavering faith. Lessons that stretched me, tested me, and experiences that shaped me into the woman I am becoming. I am thankful for it all because each challenge I faced only fueled my desire to succeed. Every time I thought there was no way forward, God stepped in and reminded me that he IS the way. For that, I am endlessly grateful. I trusted the process and graduated with honors.

While this chapter is closing, it is far from over. I will keep Soaring to new heights.

Thank you Howard. Thank you GOD.
