I love to tell stories and introduce Austin as the big brother I never had. It’s so easy to reminisce and talk about the good ole days when we lived in the same city and our desks were right next to each other. I’m so thankful for him and Abby and their consistent friendship, encouragement and prayer. Austin showed up in Wichita this morning with a big hug and an iced coffee in hand just to visit and be the amazing friend and pastor he is! by @allisonkmccabe

Easter week was extra special to me this year. Reading scripture and remembering what Jesus did for me on the cross felt like I was hearing the Gospel for the very first time again. Jesus endured so much pain to take my place. How special it is to live in his grace! by @allisonkmccabe

Lately I’ve been very introspective about all that God has done in my life. I’ve packed and moved several times in different states, faced really challenging seasons, navigated the messiness and beauty that comes with ministry, fell in love with my husband, made some amazing friendships, grown to believe in myself, cried a lot and laughed even more. The list could go on and on and on.

The thing that has been constant is the fact that the Lord always has more in store. He is never finished. He is always working. The refinement and sanctification of following Him is living with the comfortably of always taking the next uncomfortable step.

My life definitely isn’t perfect. There’s gaps I need to allow Jesus to fill. There’s fear I need to surrender and overcome. There’s areas I struggle to release control.

I share all this to say that my life is blessed and rich because I chose to trust in Jesus. I want that for you.
