Happy Avatar release day!! So glad that everyone can see the hard work put into this film. Thanks to @thebestlaurenmontgomery and @artofsteveahn I joined back in 2022, so it was incredible to work alongside such talent and learn so much from them. It took a lot of effort to get to the final product, so getting to contribute any part of that was an honor. These were a lot of the studies I did during my time there, including some fun story beats of my boy Sokka! Shout out to @kihyunryu, who I’ve looked up to since Korra; learning from him was definitely a highlight for me 🙏🏼 thank you all for whatever support you can give for our movie! #avatar #legendofaang by @allisonsmithart

I don’t normally post about my jobs unless something must be said, and in this case it’s to give shoutouts!! Thank you @thebestlaurenmontgomery for giving me the chance to be a part of this, for @artofsteveahn and @kihyunryu for teaching me so much about what 2D cinematic animation can really become, and for my fellow day-one story mates @micah_gunnell, @nam.on, @ssj_art, @gretateg, @sungshin9482, @lasersinger, @danielmaraya, Vince Lee, and Don Ta for the invaluable proximity to talent and support. Also high praise to the rest of the team (too many to tag!), especially those who joined later, for bringing their best to this human-made production. Revisiting OOTDs again; I used to be so fond of drawing them. Lockdown on top of mental health reasons meant a definite lack of inspiration. Since then, a lot of my tastes have changed, and I feel like I’m now at a place where I can reflect that through my art.
