She opened VERB Studios with a goal “to MOVE you” + that’s exactly what she’s done. Our very own, Allissa Benson, was voted Best Instructor in Minneapolis by ClassPass for 2024 🏆

If you’ve ridden with Allissa, you understand what we mean when we say that her passion is palpable. She pours every ounce of herself into VERB, believes fitness is about far more than the physical aspect + finds true purpose in every class. And you can FEEL that every time she takes the podium.

After just 9 months of riding together, being part of the ‘Best of ClassPass’ conversation feels like so much more than an award for us. It’s proof of what can happen when a dream, a team + a COMMUNITY come together to ignite change — both in + outside the studio.

It’s such an honor for us to be part of each of your journeys + baby, we’re just getting started ☺️

It has been almost 3 weeks since the Best of ClassPass Awards were announced. I have yet to put into words what being named 2022’s Best Instructor means to me + have a tendency to divert from the spotlight when it’s focused on me. (Did I mention High Ride also won 2022’s Best Studio?! 👏🏼)

I want to be very clear that — for me — winning this award has very little to do with ME + has everything to do the very fiber of what High Ride stands for: US as a collective.

I am a firm believer that iron sharpens iron.

When we plant ourselves in a system, when we surround ourselves with like-minded, passionate people – people that will challenge us, people that are comfortable pushing back, people that are willing to cause a little friction, people that want to polish each other for a sharper outcome — when we plant ourselves in that kind of soil, that kind of environment…
THAT is community.
THAT is collective strength.
THAT is what High Ride Cycle is.
THAT is what we are together.

Every single rider, every single instructor coming together for a collective 45 minutes at a time –
To CHALLENGE each other, to inspire each other.
To think about things maybe a little bit differently than we would on our own.
To change, to evolve.
To come out differently than when we came in.
To turn ordinary into something extraordinary.

I want you to think about that. I want you to think about the impact you’re having – not only on yourself – but on the people around you.

At High Ride (and in life), we work individually, but as a collective. WE motivate each other, WE inspire each other. Together, WE level up. Together, WE raise the vibrational frequency of this life.

Thank you for being that for each other, thank you for being that for me.

This is one of those moments where the sentence feels smaller than the meaning it holds —
I get to be a lululemon Ambassador (!!!!!)

I’m insanely honored to step into this chapter, but the honor belongs to something much bigger than me.

It belongs to US.

It’s proof that what we’re building at VERB matters.
That the values we show up with every day ripple outward.
That energy is contagious.
That community changes people.

When you open a business, one thing becomes very clear:
you cannot do it alone.

It takes a badass team who dream, build + inspire every day.
It takes a community who shows up, sweats, cheers + believes in what we’re creating.
It takes partners who see your vision + stand beside it.

Since opening VERB, I’ve been blown away by the way lululemon Minneapolis cultivates relationships on a local level. It’s personal, it’s intentional, it’s supportive + it’s impactful.

And DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED on our fairy godmothers at the Ridgedale store, who believed in us before anyone knew who we were. We’re so lucky to have them 🤍

Moments like this don’t belong to one person.

This one’s for VERB + every single person that has gotten us to this moment.

And, somehow, this still feels like the beginning.
We haven’t even scratched the surface yet.

In 365 days, I taught 357 classes from this podium. Which — tbh — is borderline insane, but the irony of this moment is how much MORE the last 365 days have taught ME.

This year has been the wildest ride of my life + the truth is, I could not have done it without the army I have behind me: my perfect husband, my incredible friends + family, my relentless + talented team, my right hand + left brain @sofiefiebelkorn (fullllll stop) + the Mpls wellness community that has had my back since day one.

And lastly [hi, hello], the most amazing community of riders that show up daily — to grow, to evolve, to change. I am in awe of your work, your resiliency, your spirit, your love. You have CHANGED MY LIFE + I have no words to express how much you mean to me.
