Recycling center plus, Munich, 2026

The complex consists of three main elements: a staff and administration building, a storage building, and a covered hall between them.

Inside the staff and administration building, the spaces are organized around the needs of the people working at the recycling center.

Recycling center plus, Munich, 2026

The newly opened recycling center is defined by a characteristic zigzag pattern that originates in the floor plan and carries through to the facade: folded and formed metal panels pick up the geometry at varying depths.

Recycling center plus, Munich, 2026

This week, a new recycling center in Munich Steinhausen opened its doors to the neighbourhood.

Nestled between a transit depot and railway tracks, the center completes the infrastructure facilities on the site. Matching the height and width of the adjacent Betriebshof Ost, a waste management facility also designed by allmannwappner, it extends the existing complex and establishes a clear edge along the railway.

Urban Development ‘Unter den Linden’, Reutlingen, competition 2026, 3rd prize

The development is characterized by a diverse mix of one- to five-bedroom apartments both in subsidised and privately financed housing.The floor plans offer rooms facing the more sheltered courtyards, offering natural light and views while protecting them from surrounding noise.

Flexible commercial spaces activate the ground floors, while the publicly accessible rooftop bar adds a new destination above the city.

Urban Development ‘Unter den Linden’, Reutlingen, competition 2026, 3rd prize

The buildings varying heights step down towards the open space to the north, creating a finely articulated silhouette that responds to the surrounding urban fabric.

The 17-storey high-rise along Burkhardt-Weber-Straße forms a central address and complements the adjacent Stuttgarter Tor tower. Along the surrounding streets, the development defines different entrances and open spaces, connecting the new neighbourhood with its surroundings.

Urban Development ‘Unter den Linden’, Reutlingen, competition 2026, 3rd prize

allmannwappner’s proposal for a new mixed-use district in Reutlingen combines housing, commercial uses, and a high-rise with generous public spaces and shared open areas.

The high-rise marks a new presence in Reutlingens urban silhouette, combining residential apartments with a publicly accessible rooftop bar overlooking the city.

Two public squares mark the gateways to the district: the southern square provides access to shops and restaurants, while the northern square offers a more neighbourhood-oriented space for gathering.

BMW Group Talent Campus, Munich, realized 2025

The new building is designed as an open, highly flexible and durable structure. Natural materials are used throughout the structure, façade and interior, while the design also incorporates circular principles by ensuring that building components can be easily separated and reused.

The central, light-flooded atrium is a defining feature. Open staircases provide access to the various platforms, which offer collaboration areas for trainees, spaces for informal exchanges as well as temporary learning and working areas.

The hybrid timber construction houses modern training rooms and workshops, as well as a staff restaurant and a public café. The floors are designed as flexible, open spaces that can accommodate different uses over time and be adapted to changing requirements throughout the building’s life cycle. With its openness, transparency and sustainable construction, the overall concept creates a new, attractive and distinctive identity for the site, while offering a high-quality and welcoming environment for its users.

BMW Group Talent Campus, Munich, realized 2025

allmannwappner was commissioned by the @bmwgroup to design the training and education center as part of the new Talent Campus in Munich. Located on the area of a former multi-storey car park in the north-east of the main site, the open campus provides a new place for learning, development and exchange for around 40,000 employees at the Munich site.
