A few months ago we slabbed up the dead half of my favourite giant Stringybark (Eucalyptus obliqua) on the property. I ended up with a few offcuts and wanted to bring some of our big old tree into the house. A stringybark slab on two red gum (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) stumps. Planed, sanded and oiled with beeswax and tung oil. Hopefully we don’t move house soon because she’s heavy as fuck by @allocasuariina

strained and bottled off some tinctures yesterday as well as some oils that have been infusing. the tinctures are all of fresh plant. I’ll use the oils for balms and salves. lunar phases utilised for creating, for most potentised healing properties + energetics. Tincture maceration started at the new moon and pressed at the full moon.
This week I have been working with yakka, xanthorrhoea semiplana. It’s been a joy. Offering inner strength for setting boundaries, trusting and having faith in self. for solar + lunar peak the flower essence was infused on the morning of the full moon adding the balance of the suns outward vitality and the moons inward intuition.

When the mind is busy and anticipating what’s to come, let Golden Wattle be your guiding sun. When self-criticism is persistent and the joy you yearn for is far, Wattle offers the inner strength to be present, and to find patience there. by @allocasuariina

Over the last couple of years this page has held a few versions of my creative life — resin + jewellery that allowed me to carry pieces of nature and flora with me, photography, creative art, an exhibition, and small handmade bits and pieces.T native flora that surrounds me, and exploring how I understand that connection. Working alongside it, learning from it, remembering that I am part of it and it is part of me.

I have just moved back to South Australia onto 150 acres, with most of it still uncleared native bushland. It’s a place that continues to shape me, and one I feel deeply called to learn from, care for, and heal alongside.

Im moving deeper into plant medicine, im studying herbalism under the amazing and ever-so-wise @rosemarygladstar, alongside native plants, food is medicine medicine is food, land-based living, and the ongoing inner work that seems to naturally unfold alongside all of it.
