Intermittent Connection - sound sculpture and generative composition, created for @iskrovos festival last summer.

A network of old, unused telephones connects different spaces across the festival halls, transmitting fragments of voices into our room, filled with feedback, loops, and snippets of conversations from people passing by.

A few electromagnetic pickups placed throughout the space also capture the electromagnetic signals that surround us, introducing another layer of sounds into the work.

Many thanks to @iskrovos team for organizing the festival and inviting us to experiment, also to our friend Paulius Čerkauskas @cerkaa666 for his expertise in 3D printing making the phone mounts and to everyone who found old, unused phones in their drawers and kindly lent them to us.

Šiandien atskleidžiame pirmuosius festivalyje pasitiksiančius menininkus. by @alloscillating

First off, Panthalassa, the opening track. As the name suggests it’s inspired by water in all its shapes and forms. Plopping, lapping, swirling, splashing, raining, running, drizzling, crashing, thundering, bubbling, snowing, hailing, freezing, melting, evaporating. Over the years we have been collecting water sounds when travelling or sometimes travelling to record them. The sound collection has been growing and a part of it formed into Panthalassa; we plan to continue this as a series of compositions all circling around water. First video out of three. Listen to the full track on youtube and bandcamp.

Tomorrow marks two months since we released Alloscillating on Bandcamp - thanks a million to everyone who listened and supported us!🫶We’ve now uploaded the entire album to youtube too, link is in our bio and in the comments.
Pictured - us climbing mountains…strangely.
We also thought we’d make some posts sharing a bit more about our field recording. Sounds, textures and concepts that inspired the album and some more behind the scenes. Will share those soon🍃 by @alloscillating

The third live act for the upcoming event on May 22 at @sodas2123 ~ @estafete2123 will be performed by Allosci @alloscillating, a beautiful project by @griciutegabriele and @andrius.mack ☾⋆.*

Allosci is a creative duo by Gabrielė Griciūtė and Andrius Mackevičius from Lithuania. Their practice combines environmental sound, experimental electronics, and narrative structures, with a focus on the physicality of sound and vibration, deep listening, and the interplay between techno and sound art.

Positioned between a listening experience and a club-oriented performance, Allosci’s live sets seek to bridge physical, dance-based engagement with analytical and reflective modes of listening.

Recently they released their debut album, ‘Alloscillating.’ You can listen to it on bandcamp! by @alloscillating
