Please join me in celebrating the very approachable birthday of Sir Benjamin Cook, @bencook723 aka “Big Cat.” When Instagram first dropped, Ben scooped up the username @potus and later gave it up, because he is a great patriot. He then pivoted to the handle “coffeeisforclosers” but Starbucks got mad and tried to sue him…nice try, he is un-sue-able. Local coffee shops know his order even if he has never been there, sometimes offering him the quad-espresso shot on the house, because he helped craft their supply chain procedures after all. Ben gladly serves as CEO (Chief Encouragement Officer) of the Hanneken Family. He’s secretly creating strategies to help YELLOW expand to all 200 countries. Speaking of yellow, Red Bull bases their Summer Edition flavor based on his bar tending trends at a nondescript Hampstead, MD restaurant.
Automatic car washes submit annual bids to wash his TACOMA, but he only washes it by hand…daily. If he misses a day, he just reminds himself it’s good for the paint, and life of the truck. Ben is the king of memes, and reels and gifs - he schedules them to send throughout the night just so his recipients wake up with a smile on their faces. Speaking of smiles, Oaxaca, Mexico wait staff has been awaiting his arrival for 10+ years because they heard about his tipping prowess. Restaurants have even spent the past 18 months trying to source Akoya oysters from Japan or Australia but to no avail because Ben has them all at his house. They have pivoted to Gillardeau oysters from France instead hoping he won’t notice, but they secretly know he will. Fish fear him, Jules loves him, and he keeps his friends close and has no enemies. @lowkenzuinly_kk11 spent last week dancing at @thedanceawards in Orlando. This week she is taking classes with @balletgatti at @unitedballettheatre - so thankful for all her amazing teachers and supporters. I’m so honored to be her dad. by @allpraisejc

@gloriadiem performs tonight in the Opening Number of @thedanceawards Orlando. She has loved working with @peterchuthis and so many life-giving choreographers this week. I’ve been so blessed to make it to most of our destinations in time to log on and catch the live stream of their dances. All of which received Palladium scores. I’ll post the link in my FB comments if anyone wants to tune in at 5:30pm EST. by @allpraisejc

Day 5 is in the books. At 17.31 miles with 1718ft of climbing, it’s the furthest I have hiked in one day. To God be the Glory!

12.72 miles today, putting us at a grand total of 51.55 miles over the 4 days. I’m thankful for El Camino de Santiago and this wonderful team. Special shout to @betsydeglopper for cracking me and @nate_wehrl up all day! So much fun!

Day 3 complete! Tough miles but walking with @crazycrossons made it great! We left Pontevedra at 8:15am and arrived in Calidas el Reys over 5 hours later. Almost 14 miles hiked for the youth of Portugal. 🇵🇹

Day 2 = complete. The shortest day of our Camino - 9.37 miles with 783ft of climbing from Arcade to Pontevedra. Our prayer theme was around Hope beyond tradition for the youth of Portugal. We are contending for revival in the action sports community. So thankful to God for everyone who helped us get here.

Day 1 of El Camino de Santiago Portuguese Route with @endshiking - Today’s prayer theme was “spiritual apathy.”

To God be the Glory, great things He has done! Today was the longest hike of my life. 15.58mi with 1,247 ft of elevation gain.

I had planned to hike with my roommate Mitch all day but God had other plans. 10 miles with Angela and 5 miles with Ethan. Enjoyed both of their company so so much!
