Skylar’s bouquet was so special - a true collaboration ✨

When I dropped it off in the bridal suite it didn’t have any gomphrena (those adorable little pink puff balls). Don’t get me wrong, it was special already, but Skylar knew before I did that there was something missing.

A phone call later, I was back up in the bridal suite with a few options for what we could use to add the little cascade it needed. As soon as I pulled the gomphrena out, Skylar’s eyes lit up - THAT was it. I tucked away, did some surgery, and came back with our bridal bouquet 2.0. It was perfect - better than I could have (and did) imagine.

I shout from the rooftops often that personals (bouquets and boutonnières) are my favorite thing in the world to make, and I really mean it. To me, they’re a portrait of my clients. A handful of flowers that, when arranged just right, with all the love and care in the world, embody their spirit, personality, and essence.

Skylar’s bouquet was a reminder of this delicate little dance we do as florists. How do you create something “perfect” when there is no objective perfect? You don’t and you can’t. You listen, learn, observe and create what is subjectively perfect.

@skye.fieri thank you for being my muse! 💗
