One day I just woke up and said it’s alright to not be perfect, it’s okay not to have it all figured but what’s not alright is being content with being mediocre. Now everyday I get up being intentional with leading my heart instead of following it blindly. I get up everyday being the best version of myself and leading by example.

This summer I went backward and fell short. I allowed some people to see an old version of men that I thought was locked away, because I have been working overtime to not be that person. and I’m far from being that person I was, but it also allowed me to look myself in the mirror and be honest with myself and say I’m not where I thought I was at. I still need to grow. Sometimes life has a way of humbling you, and I’m glad it did. It allowed me to get back focused and remember why I’m doing everything I do in the first place. I said all of that to say this your age does not determine your growth there is always room to grow. We may not be perfect but everyday is a new chance to be perfected #thejourneyisthedestination by @allred_benrich

I’m learning how to be more vulnerable in my own skin daily. I usually second guess doing things like this because I’m not physically where I want to be, but I want to give people the opportunity to see me in my most vulnerable states. So I can show my kid how to be comfortable with being uncomfortable.

But I’m proud of this one because I had an idea and it came out the way better than I thought it would. If you can imagine it more than likely you can find a way to make it happen; you just have to believe it’s possible.

It’s so hard to shoot content by myself because I don’t have anyone directing me thru like I do for others, so I have to guess a lot of times. lol even doing the interview part I had to remember the questions I asked others and respond as if I’m talking to am audience while being in an empty room (that I made to look like a bedroom when in reality it was just two couches pushed together because I needed a corner so I could set mic up and the lighting, all while hoping I get the shots I needed.)

the one thing I stand on is I can’t tell my kid to actively pursue the things he wants no matter what if I’m constantly giving up on what I want in life. I’m very transparent with him some days it will feel like what for? Or why am i even doing this?and those are the days I go even harder.
