Vigil to Honor Lorenzo & Johan & Demand No More ICE Killings

On July 7, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Houston while driving a work van with his crew. On July 13, ICE fatally shot 26-year-old Johan Sebastian Guerrero in Biddeford, Maine — his wife and toddler forced to witness his murder.Both men were beloved members of their communities, killed on their way to work. Join us for a vigil to demand Justice for Lorenzo. Justice for Johan. Justice for All. ICE Out.

All Rise Alameda & Indivisible Alameda received second place in the green energy division! It was great to see the warm welcome that we received at the award ceremony. Two separate people came up to us and said how much it meant to them to receive the No Kings flags at the parade. Another person said, “Thank you for your service. I appreciate all you do.”
Thank you to the judges and to this wonderful community—we are making a small difference in our island city.💖

John Lewis Good Trouble Lives On’ Event
Saturday July 18th from 12 pm - 2 pm

Alamedans don’t just stand for voting rights, we take action! Sometimes through rallies, sometimes through marching, and this time…through Art and Action Alley!

Join us for a family friendly community art project in the park on Saturday, July 18th! Be part of this national 3-day celebration of the late John Lewis, one of the indelible icons of the civil rights and voting rights movements.

Bring a friend and fight for voting rights through interactive art, music and immediate political actions you can take to make a difference in your orbit!

Also, as part of the events for the 3-day John Lewis Good Trouble Live On weekend, Alameda Theater & Cineplex will graciously donate a theater on Sunday July 19th for a showing of John Lewis: Good Trouble (movie).

March with us in Alameda’s 4th of July Parade! Join Indivisible Alameda & All Rise Alameda by marching in the parade with us and helping us hand out NO KINGS! flags along the parade route.
Participants with our group are asked to wear white tops and blue pants/skirts/shorts (or blue tops and white bottoms if you’d like). Bring along a red scarf or tie to wear to complete the look if you’d like. Please know that the parade route is more than 3 miles long, so wear comfortable shoes as well as sunscreen and carry anything else needed for your well being. After submitting the below RSVP form on Indivisble Alameda’s website, you will be notified via email about the location of our contingent in the parade line up so you can find us on Saturday morning (...and that location may not be confirmed until the morning of Friday, July 3rd). Please arrive by 9:15 am for the parade that begins at 10 am sharp. And remember, many main streets will be closed on Saturday morning, so you may need to walk to our meeting spot. All Rise Alameda Community Meeting + No Kings Flag Making Party!
Don’t miss this chance to get together with our All Rise Alameda community...and find out about the practical political actions you can take to push back against the regime in the White House! Plus, have fun making No Kings flags that will be handed out at the Fourth of July parade.
At 1 pm, we’ll have time for lunch and visiting before starting to make “No Kings” flags at 2 pm. We’re very close to reaching the goal of creating 6,000 flags to distribute at Alameda’s Fourth of July parade. By participating in this event, you can help put us over the top!
Then, at 2:30 we’ll have our regular All Rise Alameda meeting where we’ll discuss goals for the November midterm elections and share other information on practical political actions that will make a difference to our democracy!

LOCATION: Abigail’s Moroccan Cuisine, 1132 Ballena Blvd, Alameda

Please set aside your Tuesday evening to be together as we watch the results roll in, celebrating our victories and cursing our losses. Enter the Club House and weave your way through the front of the establishment to the back door, where you will step into a fun back patio with a television and plenty of space to hang out. Bring a dish to pass (if you would like) and remember to support the Club House Sports Bar by bringing cash and toasting with a drink.

Unless we narrow the Democratic field, California will have a Republican Governor on January 4th, 2027.

In the California Primary voting system, the top two highest vote candidates, regardless of party, will be on the November ballot for Governor.

As of 3.24.26 we have two Republicans polling highest! (The Ballot Book – California Governor Polling Aggregator)

Currently, the Democratic vote share is scattered across eight candidates.

If some of these candidates do not drop out and throw their numbers in with the top polling Democratic candidates, we will end up with only Republicans to vote for in November.
