If you’re wondering how to pray for some of your married friends, pray over the range of personalities co-existing and low key squabbles ☺️

When you have other plans in mind after kid drop off but The R&B King couldn’t resist “the rain” and give me Jesus within 5 minutes apart lol. And those who know him, knows he’s serious about both.

My Pooh, 24 years ago your bright eyes came into this world exactly when you needed to (not on my birthday as expected☺️). Instead, you share bday time with your mom and that is the best little sister get back I could ever hope for! @call_me_tam

Experiencing your grown woman stage is not for the weak aunts out here 🥲 From Alvin and the Chipmunks and matching twin vests and Mariah Carey sing offs to now hair and lashes and “my man my man” 🥹

For a season, September used to feel somber. Though grateful for a life purposefully lived, the grief and loss from my daddy’s death still lingered - born in September and died in September.

Now, September has become not just a celebration of Nathan’s birthday but also his decision to get baptized. Though he accepted Jesus into his heart in 2023, he wasn’t ready to get baptized. At times as a parent, we slip into thinking our children’s salvation or anyone else’s is primarily on us. Though we have an integral role and responsibility to shape, steward, and influence it is through the grace of Christ by faith so that no man can boast. So I boast in the mercy of Jesus that reached the depth of my heart that I could live and bear fruit of repentance.

What an EXCELLENT time with the Wives Renewed Team as we began our journey on The Art of Becoming a Godly Wife - starting with What Are You Building📖🙏🏾🏠
We learned, we laughed, and we loved. Clearly we weren’t playing about being wives who BUILD!

Then the SANCteaFIED Grace Girls Tea was beautiful! Still seeping from all the teaching and connection.

To top it all off, me and my goddaughter found ourselves matching today as she’s about to tower over me in height 🥹

Incredibly grateful for every birthday wish, message, and warmth given💗

Today, I was reminded of the Potter and the clay passages. How God has an end view/image in mind for us all. Even when unexpected twists and turns arise, He still shapes it - marred and all - into the ultimate finished piece. Thankful for being His Masterpiece in the making ✨ by @allshetreasures

When I first heard the statement that marriage is not about your personal happiness, but more about growth in holiness, I had to pause. Like “God, I have some questions here🧐”

But through these 9 years, I have grown to see the depth of this statement and the awe and wonder of God through it. When you make the choice to give your life to Christ as Lord, there is a surrender that is indescribable, scary, enriching, beautiful, and so much more that only those who walk that journey can understand. I realize more profoundly that in marriage, the real “happiness” comes the more you are willing to live as your renewed self; willing to put to death your personal sins for the sake of real life and health to blossom in your marriage; and being committed to the precious gift of redemption only Christ gives no matter what it looks like to others.

Praising God today for preserving and keeping us these 9 years and blessing us deeply. To the man who is my favorite place to be, who uplifts me, loves me and encourages me all while making me laugh and working a nerve - Buttons and Buttercup Together Forever💙 by @allshetreasures
